Chapter 10: Subaru's Idea Is Taken Into Consideration!

Panting like an exhausted dog, you finally dropped to the floor in surrender. Ayato loomed over your tired form, smirking sadistically.

"For not learning your lesson, I guess I'll have to be the one to punish you---" Ayato stopped his sentence when he felt another presence.

"Ayato? (Y/N)? Are you two okay? I've been looking everywhere for you!" Yui said to you both worriedly.

"P-Pancake! The hell you want?" Ayato growled at her.

"T-The others asked me to find you and ask you both to meet in the living room! I'm only doing what was ordered of me!" Yui squealed fearfully.

"The only one who should be ordering you around is Yours Truly, Pancake. Anyway, what do those bastards want of me and (Y/N)?"

"I don't know..."

"Tch. Well, come on, (Y/N). Let's go see--- (Y/N)?!" Ayato shouted with confusion. "Where the hell did you go?!"

Timeskip

You sat in Ayato's chair, keeping it "warm" for him as you told your other brothers with a smirk. Your goal was to keep Ayato's seat to yourself, and no way was anyone, not even Ayato himself, stop you!

"(Y/N), I know you're young, but please stop acting so childish. That's Ayato's seat and you know it." Reiji told you sincerely.

"No! You don't tell me what to do, you big meanie!" You defiantly spoke up.

"Want me to crush and distort your pretty little face again?"

"N-No..."

"Then get out Ayato's seat."

"But I don't wanna!"

Before you and Reiji's argument could escalate, Ayato barged in with Yui hoisted on the top of his shoulder.

"Now what the hell do you bastards want from me---- (Y/N)? So this is where you ran off to? Tch... Anyway, answer my question!" Ayato growled while putting down Yui roughly.

"Which question? You had three." Subaru glared at his brother.

"Smartass! Why do you guys want me here?" Ayato was ready to rip Subaru's head off.

"To discuss if sending (Y/N) back to school is the best option~" Laito stated. "It's Subaru's idea~"

"I think she's just fine being homeschooled..." Ayato protested.

"Ayato, you can't be so possessive over (Y/N)'s life. And (Y/N), I won't repeat myself this time. Get out of Ayato's seat!" Reiji sighed.

You pouted, by abided by Reiji's wishes and got out of said person's seat. Ayato glared at Subaru and Reiji. He didn't want to give up just yet.

"Well, I can't be the only one who's against this idea! C'mon! Any of you protesting against it? Shu, Laito, Kanato? Answer!" Ayato argued.

"...I think it'd be nice for her learn some things at a private school. She could be taught much more than we can teach her." Shu stated his opinion confidently.

"(Y/N) would make more friends that way~ Kanato and you won't always have to entertain her~ She'll have lots of fun, I believe~" Laito purred.

"Kanato, come on! You agree with me!" Ayato desperately tried getting his brother on his side.

"I'm sorry, Ayato. But even though Teddy and I enjoy playing with (Y/N), we sometimes need a break." Kanato smiled.

"D-Damn it!" Ayato cursed himself out. But then he got an idea. "Wait... What about you, (Y/N)? Do you wanna go to school?"

He picked you up and made you sit on his lap while he was seated in his respective chair. You looked at him, slightly confused by why he was asking you this.

"I don't know." You rolled the words out your mouth.

Ayato smirked with victory. "See? (Y/N) doesn't know if she wants to go or not! She'll stay here with us forever."

As Ayato pulled you in close protectively, Subaru rolled his eyes and chuckled.

"She doesn't have a choice, Ayato."

Ayato puffed out his cheeks in frustration. "What do you mean she doesn't have a choice? We're teaching her just fine!"

"She's old enough to go into at least third grade. Besides, Ayato..." Subaru smirked. "She'll be going to our school."

"Our school? I-It's not big enough for all those grades, it's a high school!" Ayato protested more.

"Actually, they just integrated the lower grades into the high school so that parents needn't spend so much money." Reiji counteracted Ayato's statement.

"And since she's our little princess, they might give her classes with more advantages to them~" Laito added.

"Damn you all..." Ayato gave in regrettably.

You didn't know what to say. But the idea left you speechless. You were going to be able to go beyond the mansion grounds for the first time in three years. Truly, it is something to be excited, but afraid of.
