"I told my parents yesterday", I said to Amber when we were walking towards lunch. "You did?", she asked surprised. "How did they react?"

I shrugged my shoulders while we got in line to get our food. "I don't know, I guess pretty chill actually. My mom was surprised first and I think she is a little bit sad because she loved Karter and now the chances that we will be back together lowered a lot. But she was totally supportive as far as she can be when she's away most of the time. And my dad didn't really seem to care much."

Amber nodded slowly. "Well, that is great, don't you think?"

I shrugged again "I guess. Brooke's mom doesn't support her and that sucks so I think not caring is a plus."

We got our lunch and went to our usual table in the cantina since it was raining outside.

"Hey", said suddenly a voice next to me and a smile immediately spread over my face. "Hey", I answered back while I stopped walking.

"You guys want to join us on our table?", Brooke asked with a grin. I don't know why but she always had this arrogant look on her face that made her look even tougher.

I threw a glance at Boston sitting on the table she was talking about. His eyes were fixed on us while Collin was talking to him. "You sure?", I asked simply. It was weird how after yesterday I was way calmer in her presence.

"Yeah, just ignore him", she answered rolling her eyes.

I looked at Amber, checking if that was okay with her. "Are you kidding? Sitting at the bad boy's table? Hell yeah!", she said excited.

Brooke and I laughed at her but then we changed our direction and went to their table.

Brooke sat down next to Collin and I let myself fall down next to her. Amber sat opposite of me next to Bastian.

Collin stopped talking to Boston when we sat down and looked at us. "Hi", he smiled.

I knew Collin since we lived only a few houses apart. He was nice so I was surprised when he started to hang around with Boston and the others.

I answered him but Amber seemed to be in her own thoughts when she stared at Bastians wrist. A tattoo had completely lured her in.

I grinned at the thought of Amber finding more and more of Bastians tattoos over the time. Alright stop telling stories, stupid brain.

I looked at Brooke and caught her yawning behind her hand.

"You ok?", I asked her.

"Yeah, I am just tired. Had to stay up all night", she answered with a small smile.

I dient asked for what she had to stay. I figured that it had something to do with her hacking skills.

"Hey guys", suddenly someone said. We turned our heads to look at that someone and in front of us stood Derek. I knew him quite well since he was one of the popular kids and we had been friends before everything crashed down.

"You're all invited to my party on Friday", he said as if it was the best thing ever. Maybe it was though. Derek's parties were legendary.

"Just bring the good stuff", he said with a wink towards Boston before he left again. The good stuff was probably weed but I wasn't quite sure since all I've heard were rumors.

"Are you going?", Brooke asked me and before I could even think about it someone answered.

"Of course she is", Amber had made that decision for me. Even though I wasn't so sure about this, Brooke's pleased face did not make me object.

The rest of lunch went over rather quickly. We were eating our food while I was talking with Brooke and Collin. The whole time Boston was watching us with a dark face but just like Brooke, I ignored him. Again I felt sorry for her that he was against us. I knew she needed his support even though she acted like she didn't. Amber talked to Bastian but it seemed to be a very light conversation about school and the weather. I knew my friend though, something about Bastian lured her in.

When lunch was over Joel was the only one not seated with us anymore since he went away to talk to a girl one grade below us.

It pretty much went like this the whole week. We would sit at their table for lunch and talk about anything. It was nice. I started to get a little introverted with only hanging around with Amber and more contact served us both well. Brooke and I kept the flirting in school to a very low point, not ready for anyone else than our table to suspect something. The only classes Brooke and I had together were sports and drama group, where we were barely able to talk to each other as I was working on the scenery and she started to practice the play. But we were both very willing to make up for that when we spent time with each other nearly every day after school. And even though we kept flirting quite a lot it didn't come to another kiss yet.

It was Friday now and Amber was over at my place to get ready together. I was kind of nervous as this was my first party since last year. I knew that Karter would be there but probably without Riley because the nerd did still not like partying. Well, I did. The light tipsiness that makes everything more exciting and funnier and I loved to dance. I was excited for tonight.

As this was our party comeback Amber and I got really made up with great looks and hard makeup and hair work. We were a good team since we have done that so many times before. Even when I had quite a lot of friends, Amber was always the closest. When we were ready we went to Amber's car since she would drive us there. Either she would also take us back home or we would call a Taxi if she wanted to drink alcohol as well.

It took us half an hour to drive to Derek's house and we stood in front of it I wasn't so sure about this anymore. You could hear the music inside clearly from out here and there were many voices coming from the garden since the weather was pretty good. In that moment I was scared of the commentaries I would get for being back on a party but then in the next second I though about Brooke and I realized how less I actually care about others opinions anymore.

With that thought I went through the door and into the house with most of the people who have ruined me last year and the only two people who completely build me up. Amber and Brooke. Amber has done most of the damage repairing but there always was a tiny bit left that just couldn't be healed and even though I knew Brooke only for a few weeks she managed to repair it in those last few days. And for the first time I could say it completely honest:

I am over everything that happened.

Hey guys
