  "I will find you.

In the farthest corner, I will find you." -Mary. E. Pearson, The Kiss Of Deception

I'm not one to doodle, only when super anxious or happy about something. But this revelation, well not much of a revelation only a letter got me all happy. I had finally met the girl from the fountain. I had to pinch myself twice to confirm that I wasn't dreaming again.

"Would you like to share your thoughts Mr. Hale?" questioned Ms. Wilson.

Her stern voice jolted me from my doodling and got me focused on the topic penned so boldly on the whiteboard " ENERGETICS". Thank God I had done some summer reading. You see the thing is many may see me and think I'm a total flirt, a badboy even who has no interest in his studies. However, the very few who knows me, really know who I am, are well aware that is just  facade to protect myself. Truth is I'm very smart a nerd even who spends his days buried in books upon books, day in, day out but I would rather not to show this side of me due to my middle school experiences but that's a story for another time.

" Let me repeat the question" Ms Wilson calmly uttered.

Her words may have been soft but her eyes told a different story that suggested to me that if I could not answer I was as good as dead as detention surely wouldn't miss me Wednesday afternoon.

" What is Enthalpy Mr. Hale?" she asked, her eyes unmoving with its fierce stare perfectly in tact

Phew... OK!

I knew this. Good.

And so I began

" Enthalpy refers to the energy content of a substance and this property cannot be measured directly, However, it is possible to measure enthalpy change in a reaction."

" Thank you Mr. Hale. At least someone did some work over the summer."

This was her declaration a she turned her attention back to the class.

I released a breath of release and slumped into my seat and turned to see H smiling at me. At least someone was pleased with my smarts. The rest of the class stared at me as though an alien had landed. As though I had completed no major feat just a simple a simple answer.

Like they knew the answer!

Pffff!!

They were all sitting there dumbstruck.

That bell signaled the end of first period. I gathered my stuff quickly so I could catch up to H and get the rest of her name, but, by the time I got up she was out the door and gone. I literally face palmed myself because I let her slip away. AGAIN

I grabbed my phone and texted Emmette to meet me by my locker after my 4th period Math class.

.

.

.

He was at my locker waiting for me when i exited my 4th period Math class. I was going through ways in my head to tell him but none seemed good enough. In the end I got it all out but it was all rambled. Luckily Emmette picked out a few words and put the pieces together.
