The thought of us was better than the reality of us, he thought as he pictured saying this to Allison. I was blind and there I stood a moth to a flame.......burn..... I allowed her to pull me in and she had me hooked

Some things once you've loved them become yours forever and if u try to let them go they only circle back and return to you. Either they become part of who you are or they destroy you and in this case I, Jaylan Hale was destroyed!!!!

Its been a month since the big revelation that has had Jaylan in a state of decline, the decline to a dreadful and meaningless life and to an inevitable demise. He retreated to his shell and somehow found himself back to his cassanova ways

.

He was once again drinking and there wasn't a party that wasn't graced by his presence. He seemingly had grown some sort of unseen organ that has caused girls to now be more attracted to him but all the while in his head he was thinking that the one he wished had noticed him didn't, the one girl he wanted, he couldn't truly have and so he settled for less

By morning he found himself rolling out of a stranger's bed and picking up his clothes from the floor. He searched around his pocket for the keys and remembered that he had gotten a ride with Alex to the party

Just great!

I'll have to take a bus now he thought to himself..

He looked behind him to see a sleeping girl with her strawberry blonde hair splayed across the bed behind her as she gripped her pillow for some form of added comfort. He discreetly made his was out as he softly closed the door behind him

Morning had broken and the streets were already filling with vehicles, and to make it worst it was a Saturday, quite unarguably the busiest day of the week for most. He walked somberly to the bus stop that was at the end of the street.

Upon arriving he noticed this girl with matted brunette hair which was covered by a hoodie and she reeked of stale alcohol and cigarette smoke. He unconsciously found himself pulling slowly away to the other end to somehow run away from the scent that wafted through the air.

Soon enough the bus arrived and they both climbed in as Jaylan made his way to the back. Along the way, more and more people filed in, one by one they filled the bus now leaving the final destination, HOME.

He walked through the front door and covered his ears as the music emanating from upstairs was as one of a deafening cymbal or booming speaker directed towards his head. He made his way upstairs in a fit of anger and yelled at his brother to turn the music down and then he slammed the door as he left .

He could feel Emmette rolling his eyes through the doors as he usually does. Emmette knew that his older brother was without a doubt suffering from a hang-over. By now Emmette had gotten used to the bloodshot eyes and ragged appearance that he wore everytime he was back from one of his "parties".

His parents had noticed him slipping, noticed him pulling back into a shell they feared they wouldn't be able to get him out of. At first, they thought it best not to push it, in hopes that he'd come around independently but now that hope had disappeared and utter concern and fear replaced such hope. They wanted to do or say something to keep their son as the sweet and caring young man they had seen him to be especially after word of Liam entered their home. He had accepted that lil boy, and the hope of being a father with welcome arms but it seemed as though the day that possibility was crushed they had not only lost a hoped-for grandson but also their son. When Allison left she had took the greatest part of Jaylan with her, she had nipped the little thread that was holding him together, and with that little thread gone he had fallen over the cliff into to a whirlwind of heartbreak and promiscuity.

Jaylan was now in his room with half his body now hanging from his bed as he peered through his window to realize that the day had quickly drifted by as he now saw an orange crimson glow fill the air with the setting of the sun. His family had gone out to dinner but he opted to stay in tonight. He thought that he would have some time to himself and to his thoughts and possibly have a quick run with someone of the female persuasion. He scrolled through his contacts trying to find someone nearby who he knew would be up for a quick run.

In the middle of his search he was interrupted by the ring of his doorbell. He decided to let it go unanswered figuring they'd go away. But they persisted.

He peered through his window to try and get a peek at the porch but still couldn't see and so he went with the only option left .

Go see for himself.

He pulled on a shirt and made his way down the steps

"I'm coming" he yelled, constantly muttered curses to himself as he made his way to the door

He opened the door and cursed below his breath as he saw the silhouette he knew all too well with her back turned to him

It was Holland !
