After awhile and the story had been told Nathan told the two girls he had plans with his friends and that they would have the house to themselves for the night. So Mary and Kylie crashed on the couch setting up a perfect movie night set up. At the moment they were in the kitchen making snacks.

"Okay it's Fall, is s'mores allowed to be made?" Kylie questioned with a mischief smile to her friend.

Mary looked at her with an arched brow, "S'mores are a year round allowed snack in my presence."

They both laughed, "I can work with that."

As Kylie started to make the s'mores, placing them in the microwave to heat them into the melty gooiness Mary spoke up, "You didn't just get in a fight with your dad did you? The bruise on your cheek, he did that didn't he?"

Watching the time on the microwave count down Kylie hesitated, "When is it ever just a fight?"

Mary sighed and walked over to her friend pulling her into an embrace. She hugged her tightly, holding her for what seemed an eternity. She didn't say anything because she knew there was nothing for her to say. How do you comfort somebody who has to experience that?

Kylie pulled away and lifted her had to stroke her fingers through the strands of her hair, "By the way, I love the new hair."

Mary knew she just wanted off the topic and she gladly respected her best friend's silently request, "Yeah I decided a change was needed plus it did piss him off a little bit."

Kylie laughed. Mary's hair was now bobbed above her shoulders just by a centimeter or so leaving her waves to intensify. The blonde was now white with silver highlighting, and honesty it was beautiful against her friend's porcelain complexion and bluish grey eyes. It was quite a change from the hip length beach waves of soft sunlight, but it suited Mary perfectly.

"So how mad did your dad get?" Kylie inquired.

"Well first it was I change it back immediately but then when I just told him I'm not wasting money to change it back after just paying to change it he told me I was grounded. Now I'm here because my ass snuck out like usual." Mary explained to her and Kylie just shook her head.

Bringing the plate of s'mores and bowl of popcorn to the living room the girls crashed on the couch. Kylie stealing from Nathan's room for a t-shirt, and Mary being kind enough to go out and buy her some needed things to change into and clean her teeth she was ready to just chill out and watching some cliché horror movies. Halloween was coming up afterall.
