"Yes, I'm bi," Paris states, as she takes a sip of her orange juice. "And it was an honor to be your first kiss, love."
I let out a laugh and stand up from my chair to give her a hug. "I'm happy for you."
"Me too," Jade adds, as she stands up from her chair to also give Paris a hug.
"What happened?" A few of Paris' friends ask us in curiosity, as they stop by our lunch table in the cafeteria.
We all stare at them silently.
"...I'm bi?" Paris says in an awkward tone.
After a second, they start squealing. And now my ears hurt.
"Oh, congrats," they cheer loudly, joining in our little group hug as well.

I bite the end of my pen as I anticipate on the words in front of me. The library is surprisingly quiet today, so I cam here after school to continue reading a book.
"Trying not to fail another history quiz?"
My eyes turn upward to the stranger, and I'm just in time to see a certain blue-eyed boy with spectacles take a seat in front of me.
"Actually, this is just a book I'm reading," I tell Haden, gesturing to the open pages.
"Oh," he says, rubbing the back of his neck. Then he gives me a smile, showing his slight embarrassment. "It just seemed interesting from the way you were reading it."
I let out a chuckle and place my bookmark on my current page.
"So, did you want something?" I ask, closing my book in the process.
He shrugs his shoulder. "Just trying to make new friends."
"Oh," I say. "Well then, you must know that I'm the white girl that wears shirts meant for guys."
He smiles in amusement. "And you must know that I'm the white boy that walks around looking like a nerd."
I chuckle at his statement. "A nerd?" I question, as I observe his attire and the glasses on his face. I stare at his shirt, the words on it seem to read Space Invaders. "In all honesty, I would choose the word 'geek'."
He looks down at his shirt before turning back to me with a smile. "True."
I feel a tap on my head and turn around.
Alex stares down at me, leaning again my chair with his hand. "Guess who's taking you home, Ivy Smith?"
I blink. "Uh, who?"
He leans down closer. "Me," he replies, taking my arm and pulling me up to my feet. "C'mon, let's go."
I wave a quick goodbye to Haden before Alex drags me away.
We walk outside to his car. "I thought my brother was driving me home."
"Not anymore," he says, opening his door.
I let out a sigh and step into the passenger seat.
"So, who were you talking to?" He asks as I'm putting on my seatbelt.
"That was Haden, remember?" I reply. "He's the guy we met last week. And we told him that you were my stalker."
He backs out of the parking space. "Nope, I don't remember."
I raise an eyebrow. "Don't tell me you're jealous."
He fakes a laugh. "Why the hell would I be jealous?"
I smile triumphantly and flip my hair to the side. "Because for once, I'm the one receiving attention from the opposite gender."
He stops at a red light. "I pay attention to you, too."
"We've known each other for our whole life, so of course you would," I say, waving my hand.
"But-"
"Green light," I interrupt. He lets out a sigh before continuing to drive.
"But what were you guys even talking about?" He asks.
I cover my mouth with my hand dramatically. "Wow, Alex Davon actually is jealous."
"I'm not."
I run my fingers through my hair. "Dude, you did the same thing in sixth grade," I remind him. "After some guy asked me for an eraser, you pulled me away and asked me if he was bothering me or something."
"I'm just looking out for you," he says.
"Alex, you of all people should already know I have an older brother to do that for me," I tell him. "And plus, Haden looks harmless."
We finally stop in front of my house.
"This is my stop," I tell him. "Bye, jelly."
He raises an eyebrow at me. "Was that supposed to be funny?"
I let out a laugh. "Yes, it was."
His lips form into a smile. "Well bye then, peanut butter."
I open the car door and wave him goodbye.
"Oh, and tell Margo to text me," I add, as I step out of the car. "She always leaves me on read."
He lets out a chuckle. "I'll tell her."
I shut the door and head to the front of my house.
