Ch 29: Pre-Season

Hiccups POV

Whew............ first pre-season game for Berk. I'm kinda nervous about the whole thing, Berk High is where my dad played and he was Legend here everyone in the whole state will be buzzing over here to watch it. Well atleast I can count on my teammate being there Snot,Fish,Eret,Tuff,Kriss and Eugene they have my back they all are my friends and my brother in arms here. I sat in the locker room with the other guys, I had my head down as I contemplated to myself in just pure nervousness.

I looked up to see the other guys laughing and/or chatting with one another not nervous at all by the whole thing. Huh well they have been playing Football longer then I have. "Oye Hiccup why you sitting there ?!?!?" My cousin Snotlout says to me in a loud Jorgensen voice. I looked at him only to look back at the ground. God's am I so nervous i could feel my heart racing so fast right now. "Don't tell me your nervous Hiccup." Snot says to me as he got on one knee to talk to me. Silence filled the room as he was talking "yea I am nervous I'm scared out of fucking everything up, my dad and mom is going to watching I just can't but help but think I'm going to mess up." I confess as I let it out for all my teamates to hear.

But suddenly all the guys started laughing............. I looked up with confusion on my face as i looked around but suddenly Eret spoke up as the laughter died down "Hiccup dude relax. Look your not the only one who felt this anxiety and nervousness towards the game." Eret tells me. "What do you mean Eret?" I asked him. "What he means is that we all had the same feeling dude." Eugene speaks up as well. "Yea dog I almost shit my pants thinking about my first game here". I heard one of my teammates say. "Really????" I asked him. "Yea dog, I'm from Atlanta,Georgia do you know how big football is there all I know is Football and southern hospitality." He tells me. "Amen to that brother". A another player says. "Thanks man, what's your name? By the way." I asked him he just laughed and said to me "The names Marcus Winston man or more like #80 Winston". He says and gives me a sudden bro hug. "Yea man, look I came here not knowing what a football was till I tried out; was I great at first HELL NO but I kept going because it was so fun being with my new friends on the team." Another player who's name I don't know says. "Wow man what's your name?" I asked then suddenly a guy behind Marcus came out he was shorter guy with brown island like skin "Yo bro the names Joe Atwater I'm on special teams as well as a kick/punt returner." He tells me "cool man thanks guys this all helps really now I cant wait to play." I tell them with a smile. "Hahaha see Cuz no worries here just happy thoughts" Snotlout grabs me by the neck and messes up with my hair.

But then suddenly Jack comes bursting through the door "GUYS GREAT NEWS!!!! THE LOCAL NEWS ARE GOING TO BE FOLLOWING YOU GUYS UNTIL THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!!" Jack exclaims "whaaaa what!??!?!" Was the only thing I could say but then Snot had to say "SWEET!!!! NOW I CAN PICK UP CHICKS!!!" He cheered while we all laughed about the situation.

On the field

We were now here on the field having pre-game warm ups. We were stretching and let me tell you for a pre-season game the stands were packed. "Do your best Sweety!!!" I heard my mom say I looked at her and waved embarrassed. "Do your best sweety", Snot teased me. "Ahh shut up Jorgensen." I growl at him. "Hahaha alright sweety ". Snot teased me. As I went back to warming up I looked and saw the one girl who made felt as brave as ever. Astrid she was there right next to our friends she looked at me amd smiled and waved I waved back and smiled, "oye no more flirting with your lass till the game is over Haddock". Gobber says for Gothi. "Yes coach". I say sadly.

But then we all heard a familiar perky voice say "WHEW YEA EUGENE KICK THERE ASS!!!!!" I swear everyone turned to Punzie and looked at her. "Thanks Punzie baby." Eugene says waving at her, "oye what I say back to warm ups now!!!" Gobber says in a stern voice. Hahaha I could only laugh a bit with snot "atleast your girl is nit like that." Snot points out. We just laughed and went back to warming up.

Astrid's POV

I sat there and chatted with the girls as we waited for the game to start. I turned to Elsa who was next to me. "Hey Elsa where's Jack? " I asked her "Oh he's announcing the game up in the announcers box." Elsa tells me. "Oh wow that's cool, he must like that to of stuff." I tell her she just pouted and crossed her arms "hmph he just liked hearing the sound of his voice." She tells me. I smirked and just told her "you just want him with you here huh?" I question her. She just blushed and smiled a bit "maybe .........." She tells me. "Hahaha I knew you did, you had that look." I told her Elsa gave me a curious look and asked "What do you mean Astrid?" I looked at her then to Hiccup in the field.

"Well thats because El I would rather have Hiccup here with me then on the field where he can get hurt. And plus a girl I dont like is trying to steal him from me and she just so happens to be on the Cheerleading team." I said to her. Elsa gave me a serious look then to the cheerleaders and said "it's that raven haired girl right?" She asked I took scoot back for a second in pure suprise and said "How did you knkw that ???" I asked her. "Oh Astrid I can sense these things, it's second nature for me." Elsa says putting one of her legs on the other. "Listen Astrid don't lose your cool around that girl I can sense she is smart and she is cunning I don't know her name but I can tell you this she is good at what she does." Elsa warns "Thanks Elsa for the warning it gives me a heads up."

"No problem Astrid and plus I prefer you with Hiccup then her, it would not just for seeing them together for some reason." Elsa tells me putting her hand on my shoulder we were interrupted from our little friendship moment when Punzie yelled out suddenly "YEAHHHHH LET'S GO NIGHT FURIES!!!!!!" Punzie say while Merida and Ruff tried to calm her down.

Jeez is she always this hyped for these games. "Come on Punzie chill out the game is about to start already." Merida says. "Yes Punzie come on its only a pre-season game." Ruff adds. After a few moments Punzie calmed down and sat down, "whew sorry girls I'm sorry; im just always pumped when I see Eugene play it's like I go into a another mode when it happens." Punzie explains. "Huh let's just hope you dont go all crazy while the game is over ok." I tell her. "Mhmmm I can't promise but I'll try." Punzie says with a smile and all of us just sigh.

Kick off

Jack's POV

Berk High was going up against a local team named the barbarians. We were receiving the ball since we were the home team. Joe Atwater #24 has caught the ball from the kicking team and ran. He ran forward making defenders miss at the 50 yard line making that he only had one man to out run at that point and it was the kicker he gave the kicker s stiff arm and the guy flew back. Making #24  open to get a touch down to 30....... 20...... 10.... 5 touchdown NIGHT FURIES!!!!! (By the way Jack is announcing this all over the radial and commenting as the news film it). Now we will get to see the new addition to Berk Highs roster Hiccup Haddock kicker: #1 and also if I may add the son of the legendary Stoick Haddock and also a friend of yours truly.

Berk Highs special team break formation and get ready to block so Hiccup kick the ball. The ball is snap......... Hiccup kicks...... and the kick ..... is ...... good!!!! Man for a first time football player man can this guy kick. Awwww and here are Berks cheerleaders giving moral support to our boys on the field let's hear in. "Hiccup ....... Hiccup #1 let's go Hiccup!!!!" Wow looks like Haddock there has fans hopefully this game gets better and better folks cause it's just started.

Hiccups POV

Wow my first kick and it felt so good. I'm so happy right now I'm so glad I didn't mess up. I jogged over to Joe and patted him on the back and said "Nice return man." I told him he looked up at me as he drank his water. "Thanks man, nice kick also." He tells. "Thanks man." I say back as I go out to the field to kick off. Once there I lined up the ball and kicked the ball as hard as I can. I saw the ball where it landed I saw it bounce within the 5 yard line before it bounced out of bounds man was that a good kick.

So good that it went out of bounds before our opponents can get it. Man this game is going to well I hope its always like this when I play hopefully I didn't just jinx it there, haha haha yea hopefully.

Hey y'all a little fuller and but dull chapter there don't worry the drama and sporty glory is still coming up. I watch alot allot of football so I know how to make a dream game and scenario for our Nightfuries 😉😉😉 BUT AS ALWAYS THANKS FOR THE VIEW AND PEACE OUT Y'ALL!!!!!
