'Uhh....' Everything was black. I drowsily opened my eyes. I was on the floor. Solid, natural earth and soil. I was in a forest. Someone was crouching, his back turned toward me.

'Uhh...?'

The guy rose and turned towards me. He had brown hair and blue eyes. He was a foot taller than me, and he was very buff, like he spent 3 hours a day at the gym. On his back was a sheathed sword.

'Wh... where am I?' I asked groggily.

'You are in a forest.' The man replied curtly.

'What am I doing in a forest? There are forests in America?'

'Uhh... why wouldn't there be?'

'I just thought that America would be 90% full of buildings and... Whh... who are you?'

The man crouched down and looked at me.

'I am N- I am Anonymous.' He hesitated and said.

'Oh come on, that cannot be your new name.'

'I mean, that my name is Classified.' He started to say. 'I-'

'That can't be your new name either.'

He growled. 'I can't tell you my real name. For now, just call me...'

'Bob' I suggested.

'Ok! Bob will do!' He decided. 'Bob' didn't seem to realise that it was a joke. 'Call me Bob from now on.'

'Hhhah... ok' I tried to hide my smile.

Bob frowned. 'What's so funny?'

'N-n-nothing.'

'Whatever then.' He stood up and offered me his hand. 'My name may be classified, but you can still trust me. I have been watching over you since you were 8.'

'Stalker!'

'No! I am not!' He brought his fist up to his forehead in exasperation. 'I have been watching over you since the Gods have commanded it.'

'If the Gods care that much, then why don't they help themselves? Why did they send you, and how have you been protecting me for like 5 years without anyone noticing?'

'Gods can't act indirectly, Chris. And I'm a powerful person.'

Bob helped me up.' 'You should be grateful. Without me, you would have been killed by "Giraffe Cats", with the most embarrassing last words possible.'

'What last-' I remembered my embarrassing failure, and flushed with embarrassment. Then I remembered my friends, and I shot wide awake.

'What happened to my friends? Where are they now? Are they ok?'

'Whoa whoa whoa, slow down kid.' Bob raised his palms. 'Your friends are fine. They're on their way safely to Camp Half-Blood.'

'And what about me? Where are you taking me? I'm supposed to follow them!'

'That wasn't what Zeus said.' Bob stopped me. 'Your friends are fine, you're fine, at least, you will be if you stay with me.'

'But... my friends!'

'Don't worry, you're free to go back after you go where we're headed. For now, the dangers aren't all gone yet, and you have no one to protect you except me.'

'And where are we going, Bob?'

He raised his eyebrows.

'Follow my lead and you'll see, won't you?'

'You're just gonna keep answering my questions with more questions?'

'I don't know, am I?'

'Now you're just doing it on purpose.' I grumbled, but Bob the buff man had already started walking.
