Taehyung showed Aurora around the castle, ending at the East Wing, where her quarters were to reside. Aurora remained silent throughout the whole trip, her lips sealed with her head down.

"These shall be your quarters. If you need anything, my quarters are in the West Wing. My staff have already been informed of your arrival, so you may call on them as well." He said, his hand still gripping hers.

"You may roam the palace as you wish and call for anything you may desire, but," He looked at her with a dark glint in his eyes. "Try to stay on my good side, alright?"

Aurora looked up in shock.

"What do you mean by that?" She asked. Taehyung chuckled as he kissed the back of her hand.

"Let's hope you don't find out. I'm not a man to be easily crossed with, so that was just a light warning for my dear fiancé." He said with a malicious grin. Aurora looked at him in fear as he let go of her hand.

"Sweet dreams, my blushing bride!" He called as he left for the West Wing. Aurora held the hand he had kissed and watched him fearfully. Her eyes didn't leave him until he disappeared around a corner. What has she gotten herself into?

Aurora opened the door to her new suite and stepped inside. It was a lavish bedroom that was in colors of blue and gold, but they didn't seem to lift the angel's mood. Aurora locked the door and collapsed onto the bed, crying. This was the beginning, the beginning of her nightmare as the Devil's bride.

"The angel of chastity as your bride? You must be insane."

Taehyung turned to his butler, who was looking at him apprehensively.

"Mark, you must understand that there is a fine line between genius and lack of sanity. Sometimes it takes a bit of insanity to come up with a plan like this." Taehyung replied aridly, turning his attention back to his reflection.

Mark shook his head in response as his master admired himself in the mirror.

"She'll never fall for it. As the angel of purity, I'm pretty she would know when someone is trying to seduce her." Mark said in a cynical tone. Taehyung smirked with his usual amused expression and brushed his thumb along his sharp jawline.

"My dear Mister Tuan, do you know how naive angels are? If that girl was willing to give herself up so quickly because she thought she was saving her brother, she clearly hadn't noticed what a monster I truly am."

Mark scoffed and asked, "So you acknowledge yourself as a monster?"

Taehyung grinned in the mirror.

"They don't call me the Devil for nothing. Besides, the new name the humans gave me is perfect for me: V, for the victory I will have against those angels."

Mark rolled his eyes as he crossed his arms and said, "Believe me, I've heard plenty about this infamous new nickname. They say the mortals had it stand for Vicious because you're always so brutal with your punishments."

Taehyung brushed a stray lock of blonde hair from his face as he said, "Either way, the more the humans fear me, the more the angels will as well. Nothing can stop me."

He laughed deeply as his eyes flashed blue. Mark dismissed off Taehyung's evil laugh and asked in a monotone voice, "So what is your plan to get the angel to fall for you?"

"Mark, who was my father?" Taehyung asked, examining the multiple rings on his fingers. Mark raised an eyebrow at the young king.

"Pharzuph." He replied, a bit mystified by exactly what is going on his head.

"And who was Pharzuph?" He asked as he removed a large obsidian ring from his middle finger. Mark then realized what he was implying and said, "The fallen angel of lust."

"Exactly. Even my wretched mother couldn't resist temptation and resulted in his fall and my birth. So, imagine the son of the demon of lust and the angel of love; how well do think a woman might be seduced by him?"

Taehyung finished his explanation with a smirk. Mark looked at him skeptically.

"This plan of yours is dangerous. These types of things take time." He said. Taehyung shrugged as he removed another ring and placed it in an ornate jewelry box.

"I know, but I'm a patient person. Like  I told Seokjin, I have an eternity for this." He said, his eyes slowly dark blue. Mark sighed as he crossed his arms. Taehyung clearly wasn't going budge, but he did feel a little bad for the angel. She could be in love with him for millennium to come, and he would still not feel the same.

Mark always questioned whether or not Taehyung had a heart, or feelings in general. Taehyung had a tragic past; ever since he was born, he was an outcast. Angel wouldn't accept him because of his black wings, and neither demons because of his angelic blood. The only one who ever truly cared for him was Irene, his elder sister.

Irene was only his half sibling, yet she treated him as her own. Yet it wasn't enough to keep him in Heaven. He fell like his father, and had built his way up ever since to the one thing he craved: to rule over the kind that had once scorned him. But her brother's intentions did not hinder Irene from visiting him every now and then in Hell.

She mostly scolded him or did something along the lines of punishing him, but they both knew that was the type of love she could only provide. After all, she was the only family he had left; his father and mother were both executed upon charges of adultery.

"Just be careful of what territory you tread on, young master." Mark said as he heard a knock at the door. He opened it and let Tzuyu in, Taehyung's usual evening company. He gave Taehyung one last look before leaving.

"Sometimes it's better to evade the battle than fight in it."
