Chapter 3: Making Enemies/ The Beginning

Not everyone is going to like you, that's life. There will always be those people out there that just have a vendetta against the world for no reason. In Michael's case, however, lots of people had pretty good reasons to hate him.. He is the most popular boy in school, he goes to lots of parties, gets the pretty girls. He has a crew of all popular friends. Many could say that this is the life lots of kids in high school DREAM for. Jealousy is to be expected when you're THE Michael Tipton.
Although we can't forget to mention the fact that he's an arrogant, good for nothing pretty boy who loves to make other people mad.
He got into constant fights and often times people who were friends with someone he beat up, even wanted to challenge him. He never minded, beating up another wimp meant that was just keeping up his reputation.
Everyone knew that Michael never turned away from a challenge.

In the case of Tori and Zig Castillo, an admirer has turned into an enemy. Tori, age 15, and her fraternal twin brother Zig go to the same high school as Michael, since newly moving into the area.
Tori has had a crush on him from the moment she first set eyes on the handsome boy, secretly following him in the hallway at school and listening to hear if anybody talked about him. Nobody ever noticed her always hanging around and lurking about. Meanwhile, her twin brother Zig hated everything about his sisters crush. He knew the boy was just a good for nothing low life who would never even give Tori the time of day.
In class, Michael often stole Zig's homework and other belongings, but with Zig being the quiet, weak boy that he is, he never stood up for himself. In a way, it was one of those stereotypes of the jock picking on the nerd. It would not end well.
