Chapter 12: Many questions

*Michael's POV * After his conversation with Zig*

" W-what did they say? " Ricky asked, trying not to stress out his friend even more.

Michael did some labored breathing, " That she's asleep; but she's hurt. And the guy said it wasn't his fault. "
Michael nearly crushed his phone, clenching it in his fists.
Kidnappers POV
The siblings were trying to figure something out, so Tori struck up a conversation with the little girl who awoke after the sibling screaming match, Tori snapped her fingers in Isabella's face to try to get her attention, but the little girl woke up groggy and in pain. As she began to wake up a bit more clearly, she could see Tori in her face. Bella gasped, frightened, yet quiet. Tori cleared her throat and got the question out of the way,
" Did the doggy hurt you or did he hurt you? " Bella didn't know what she meant so Tori asked again, " who made your leg hurt? " The little girl felt as if she were being tricked, she didn't know what to say
" h-him.. " she stuttered.

Tori looked at her brother smugly, " told you so. "
He just rolled his eyes.

Just then Tori's phone rang she gave a smug smile before answering in a taunting voice, " why hello there, BIG BROTHER. "
that sentence alone caused the toddler to pop up and yell, " Michael?!!! "
Within seconds, Tori slammed her hand down onto Bella's hurt leg, making the little girl scream in pain. The teenage girl wanted Michael to hear that specifically to torture him.
" THAT WAS MY SISTER!!! I HEARD MY SISTER!! " Michael yelled, causing Tori to hang up the phone.
" Tori, what's your problem? " Zig hissed,

" I'm doing this so he'll make us an offer! "

" Are you crazy? You really think he's going to give us money?! "

" Oh my dear brother.. Did you forget that we have the leverage here? " Tori questioned, with a sly look on her face.
They both turned to glance at the little girl who was now crying into the sweater they gave her.
" I thought you gave her painkillers?" Tori asked, annoyed with her crying.
" yeah well, they wore off when she woke up! " Zig snapped back.
He happened to be good with her, " shhh, shhh. " he whispered, as he tried comforting the toddler.
Bella hiccuped, staring at Tori's frizzy hair.
She held out her own small arm and offered up a green hair tie,

" You should wearw blue or gween more "

" why? " the teen questioned, not even sounding the slightest bit interested.

" because of youwr eyes "

Tori never thought of that. She looked up at the smaller girl before saying, " You know I always thought that someone older would give me advice like that. " Bella smiled, but not her usual because she was still in too much pain.
" You know, I really like your brother. " Tori randomly said.
Bella innocently tilted her head,
" like a cwush? "

Tori thought about it and blushed, " yeah, you could say that. " before she could go into detail Zig intruded, " She wouldn't stop talking about him the first time she saw him " causing Tori to swat him angrily.

Bella got an idea, " Why no call him? " the toddler suggested. ( once again this was when there were flip phones so you could just press the pound button and automatically call someone on your speed dial )

" NO, not happening. " Zig responded.

She grabbed Zig's phone and quickly dialed Michael's number, Michael answered and was greeted by the sounds of " NO! Hey! " and wrestling sounds over the phone.

*Michael's POV*

Michael stared blankly at his phone, he decided to make a post on Facebook so that people could know what Bella looked like and get her story out there. ( Facebook was in back then OKAY! )
He felt a pang of guilt in his heart when he realized that he had absolutely no pictures of her, so he had to fish them out of his moms photo album.
