The Castillo twins suffered a loss before they moved to the small town where they met the infamous Michael. Two years ago, their four year old baby sister suddenly died of  complications due to pneumonia and it destroyed their family, all of which mentally broke the two. Their dad left after their little sister was born,  so they were used to it just being them and their mom ( just like Michael's ) but their mother was like a shell of the person she used to be after her daughter's death. To cope with the loss of her youngest child, she was prescribed anti-depressants, which eventually stopped working. She began looking to " the corner " for a fix every now and then, leaving the twins by themselves to go get high with random people that she only met ten seconds ago. Zig and Tori would often be seen would bruises on their face, usually blaming a clumbsy fall down the stairs or a football game accident. Nobody really knew what was happening to them. Their mothers drug fueled behavior often turned violent, and she'd lash out on the closest people around her, and in that case, it happened to be her children.

When the twins first started school they often were bullied, people always made fun of their pale skin and shyness. Since they were always together, there were some disturbing rumors about the two dating, a kid on social media had once posted , " hey, I heard that the boy made out with his SISTER " - (read that in the voice of regina george from mean girls )

Tori, the girl, had an obsession with the troubled Michael, she found him to be someone she admired. While her twin brother Zig was the complete opposite, he despised Michael.
The twins stalked Michael, following him home, getting to know his mother's work schedule, etc. The only thing they knew that could cause major chaos in the boy's messed up life was his baby sister, an innocent toddler. Isabella attended preschool at the head-start program next to the building of Michael's school, so he often was forced to pick her up, much to his annoyance.

That happen to be the one thing that caught their eye. The girls age.
She was only 4. The same age as their deceased baby sister.

Michael usually drags the toddler home and locks her inside the house and then goes out with his friends, only to come back before his mom comes home from work. Bella is a fairly quiet kid, and she absolutely adores her big brother. She often tries to talk to Michael, but of course, he ignores her. She enjoys any time she can spend with her big brother, as mean as he could be. If you knew the toddler, you'd know she smiles a lot and has a huge obsession with Justin Bieber.
Her chubby cheeks were always something people would coo over ever since she was a little baby.
She pronounces his name " MY-COAL " and sometimes calls him Mikey.

*Later in the day*

That friday during school, the twins heard that there would be a fight in the alley of the 7/11 gas station involving Michael and another boy. That Friday also happened to be the day Michael had to take Bella home from preschool, so before picking up his sister he bought a popsicle for her.

He fetched the toddler from preschool and walked her to a bench near the bus stop, " you stay here until I come back, got it? " the teenager said ( more like threatened ) to the little girl that was swinging her legs from the bench

He fetched the toddler from preschool and walked her to a bench near the bus stop, " you stay here until I come back, got it? " the teenager said ( more like threatened ) to the little girl that was swinging her legs from the bench. She nodded, while licking her popsicle half heartedly, knowing he only bought her it so that she wouldn't cry when he abandons her. Michael put his hood over his head as he turned to walk away, making sure no one would notice him. He looked back one more time to see his baby sister still sitting there. If he had stayed long enough, then he wouldn't have failed to see what happened next.

The wind began to pick up a bit after Michael abandoned the little girl, causing her jacket to fly off the bench, making her chase it. " hey! get back hewre! " ( she has a speech problem and pronounces her r's as w's ) She ran until her jacket came to a sudden stop, as she bent down to pick it up, she saw a shadow hovering over her, " Michael? " the young girl questioned, before she could even turn around something hit her with enough force to knock her out.
