The Alpha [Poofless]

Chapter 7: The Battle

[Rob's POV]

"What?! Right now?!" Jerome says.

Choco nods. "Yup. Right now."

I sigh, growing serious and adopting my "Alpha" tone, as well as the mannerism of an Alpha.

"Choco, go find Forest's hunting group and inform them of what's happening. On the way, tell Kenny to gather up the pups and whoever is unable to fight, as well as Rose and Cloud. Kenny already knows where to take them." I instruct Choco. Nodding, Choco flies away. I turn to Jerome.

"Jerome, we need to let all of the pack know so they can prepare." I tell him.

"You've got it, Alpha." Jerome says, but at this point I don't even care that he called me Alpha. There are more important things to worry about right now. We spring into action, howling (but not too loud) to alert our pack of the incoming danger. I see Kenny running, carrying Cloud with Rose, Adrian on their tails.

I turn, seeing Choco fly in, Forest, a dark brown wolf with forest green eyes, and his hunting group hot on his tail.

"We came as fast as we could!" Forest says. I nod.

"That's good. Is everyone you have there prepared to fight?" I ask.

Forest turns to his hunting group before nodding. "Yup. Everyone is very prepared to fight with their lives like this moment may be their last." Jerome nods, approving the statement.

"That was kind of inspirational, bro." Jerome says, nuzzling Forest playfully.

"Hey!" Forest laughs. Oh, did I mention that Jerome and Forest are brothers? Yeah, they are. It's not hard to tell considering those two are basically twins, apart from the eyes. Forest decided to stay with my pack, while Jerome decided to try to balance his life in my pack with his normal/social life, although Forest tends to visit from time to time.

I roll my eyes at the two brothers. "Hello?~ We're about to get into a fight? Ring a bell?" I ask the two.

"Sorry Alpha!" They both say at the same time. They look at each other for a moment before turning away, laughing. "Brothers..." I think to myself.

Forest and his hunting group run off, which I assume is so that they can prepare.

~{Time Skip}~

Silver's pack finally came out of the forest, facing me and my pack behind me.

Silver, a silver colored wolf with piercing gray eyes, stepped forward a bit. I did as well.

He growled at me, and I growled back in response. And with that, we started the battle. My pack and Silver's pack collided, spreading out.

Leaving me to battle Silver head on.

"Well well well, if it isn't my son." He said, venom lacing his voice.

"I'm not your son! You gave that up a long time ago when you murdered mom." I growl at him.

"Hmph, we'll see about that." He lunges at me, going to swipe at my face. I dodge to the side, and pounce on him, biting his neck.

He shakes his fur, trying to get me off. My grip slips, and I go flying into a tree. The world spins around me before I can register what's happening.

As I'm trying to get up, Silver lunges at me, but I manage to duck. This makes Silver dive headfirst into the tree. I move away, biting his neck and flinging him into a tree.

Silver lands before he hits the tree, and runs at me. We exchange scratches before he bites my neck and flings me into a tree.

The world swirls around me. I can just manage to make out Silver slowly making his way towards me. I try to get up, but I'm too weak to do so.

Just as Silver is about to give what may be the final blow, a large dark brown wolf knocks him out of the way.

Jerome!

Jerome quickly bounds over to me. "Rob!" He helps me up.

"T-Thank you..." I bark quietly. Black spots soon invade my vision. I pass out, and Jerome swiftly catches me before I hit the ground.

I can just faintly hear Silver tell his pack to retreat before all I can hear is nothing.

The big reveal! Silver is Rob's dad, AND he murdered Rob's mom! But why is he attacking him?

That's for me to know and for you to find out. ;D

Also, I'm sort of bad at fight scenes ;-;

(Also I just realized my OC Rose and Rob's mom share the same name in this book. Whoops! Hopefully you guys can tell the difference between the two)

Edit: I went back and edited it so now his mom's name is Rosemary. No more confusion!
