Chapter 14: Secrets?

[Preston's POV]

I walked out of Rob's house, confused. 'What were they doing?' I thought to myself.

'Should I follow them?.... I'd feel like a jerk if I did... not even trusting my own friends... but the curiosity is gonna eat me up inside if I don't......' I sigh to myself, pulling the hood of my fire hoodie on my head and walking into the forest behind me.

[Rob's POV]

"Rob!" Choco says frantically, flying over to me.

"What is it Choco?"

"Uhm- One of the patrol groups were attacked!"

"What?!- Which one?!" I ask him.

"Uh... Forest's group-"

"Forest's group?! Please, take me to them Choco!" Jerome barks.

"Alright, but we should get Rose so she can heal them." Choco says before flying off, Jerome on his heels. I can understand why- Jerome and Forest were very close, being twin brothers and all.

Kenny comes rushing over. I turn to him. "Did you hear?-"

"Yes, I came to find you as soon as I could." Kenny barks.

"Is everyone prepared?"

"Yes, they are. I made sure of it." Kenny barks to reassure me a bit.

~Time Skip~

Everyone is prepared.

It's time.

Silver walks out, his pack behind him. "Well well well, we meet again.~"

I growl. "Cut the crap Silver." (wOW THE FIRST TIME I'VE KINDA CUSSED IN THIS BOOK- OOPS SORRY I'LL CONTINUE)

Silver laughs. "Someone's fiesty today!~"

I growl, charging at him. He charges as well.

Let the battle begin.

I pouce onto Silver, knocking him over as I bite onto his neck and scratch him. He quickly hops up, running at me and ramming me into a tree. I get up, growling at him.

"Hah! You're worthless. No wonder you couldn't save her~" Silver taunted me.

"SHUT THE HELL UP!"

"And why should I? I'm your father, you should listen to me-"

"LIKE HELL YOU'RE MY FATHER. AND I'D RATHER DIE THAN LISTEN TO YOU!"

Silver laughs. "You've made the wrong decision." He jumps at me, and I dodge, making him ram into the tree. He turns to me, growling. I run away, knowing he's chasing me. 'Maybe I can-'

My thoughts are cut off as I trip over a tree root. I look at Silver, a bit of fear shining in my eyes. I try to get up, only to feel a shooting pain up my leg. 'It might be broken....'

Silver laughs. "Not so tough now that you can't escape, now are you?~"

I growl, scootching away from him considering I couldn't get up.

"Are you going to listen to me now? Or am I going to have to kill you AND your pack?"

"I will NEVER let you touch my pack." I growl. He simply laughs.

"Oh, but I've already won~" He steps forward, about to give the killing blow, when suddenly....

an orange blur runs in front of me.
