Chapter 5: Raising Suspicions

[Jerome's POV]

Walking back to Mitch and I's house in my human form, I walk in. Mitch greets me with a smile.

"Hey biggums! How's Rob?" Mitch asks.

"He's good. He's still a bit tired so I told him to rest." I say, telling him a half truth. There was actually some truth behind that statement.

"That's good. Want to record with me?" He asks.

"Sounds good. What we playing?"

"Hunger Deens, obviously." He says, rolling his eyes playfully.

"Oh, you know me so well!"

~Time Skip~

[Still Jerome's POV]

"....So click that like button, show some love, and we'll see you all next time. Take care!" Mitch says, finishing his outro.

"Bye!" I say, finishing the recording.

Mitch laughs. "That was awesome!"

"Yeah, we totally rekt some face in that Hunger Deans biggums." I say, congratulating him on the victory.

"Hah, thanks g. Hey dood... can I ask you something?" Mitch asks me.

I nod. "You can axe me a question."

"Was that the real reason you were at Rob's house? Rob was fine when I saw him earlier."

I tense up. "Shoot... he's getting suspicious.... what do I say?"  I think, trying to think of a believable lie.

"Yeah... He randomly passed out asleep when we were Skyping. I just wanted to make sure he was okay. You can even ask Rob yourself." I lie to him.

"Alright, I will. Thanks for the info, g." Mitch says before ending the Skype call.

I sigh, quickly messaging Rob on Skype.

Fluffy: Hey Rob, if Mitch asks why I was over at your place,  please tell him that you randomly passed out while we were talking on Skype and that I was making sure you were okay.

Flower King: Alright. He's Skyping me rn, one sec.

I wait patiently for a reply back from Rob.

Flower King: Alright, I'm done. What was that all about?

Fluffy: I don't think Mitch believes the lie I told him, Rob. I think he's getting suspicious.

Flower King: Shoot... This isn't good. What if he finds out?

Fluffy: I don't know, but I don't want to find out. For now, we just have to make sure he never finds out.

Flower King: Got it.

Flower King: It feels weird and ironic with you being the one giving orders when usually that's my job.

Fluffy: Oh shush Alpha!

Flower King: You too Beta >:3

Fluffy: You're such a jag XD

Flower King: Ik ik, I try.

Sighing, I turn off Skype and put my head in my hands.

"I just hope Mitch doesn't find out... If he does, the whole pack will be in danger..."
