- a couple months later -

The Five Horsemen. That's who we are. That's who we have become. A group of 5 magicians. There's Henley, the only other girl full of fiery yet loveable characteristics : currently is my best friend, and only real friend. There's Merritt, the eldest of us all (almost like our dad) but not quite the wisest : although he acts like a father to us, he is really the biggest child. There's Atlas, my big brother (literally) and my biggest confidence boost in every situation. Then there's Jack, almost my brother - the only thing stopping him from reaching that point is the fact that I am very much so... sexually attracted to him. There is also me - Tess Reynolds, somewhere amongst it all I fit in with them. I managed to get past my anxiety with them and enjoy the ride with this tight knit group of people who have managed to become my family. They mainly reached that status in my life because I live with them now and see them every. single. day. The apartment we originally met in was refurnished and made so that we could live in it and then we all decided to live together - what better way to get to know each other right?

"Hey are you ready to go? We need to head to the airport soon?" My eyes burst open and my head shoots up as I try to find who's talking to me - it's only Atlas. When we all first met each other Daniel went by Danny until one by one we started calling him Atlas. Even though it's been months since they started calling him that I still turn my head almost every time thinking they were talking to me. I've managed to reply when people say Tess as that is now my full time name, instead of it being the occasional performance name. Atlas had struggle adjusting as well but if we want to keep our past a secret we had to do better than a couple slip ups. "Yeh I'm just about to get ready..." I say clambering out of my warm bed. Atlas nods and leaves my room. I pull out my suitcase from my wardrobe and begin throwing in clothes - we are going to Paris for a week.

As much as I'm excited to go to Paris and do all the sight seeing, one thing has almost completely changed my mind. Getting there. I hate travel. I hate planes. I hate long car rides. I hate buses. I hate being stuck in a confined space for a long period of time. I hate travel. However I love getting to the destinations and exploring but I absolutely hate travelling. Somehow I had agreed to go and in a few short hours I will be 30,000 feet in the air with no safety features other than a seat belt, oxygen mask and life jacket - seems promising doesn't it?

I filed into a taxi along with a few of my fellow horsemen and sat anxiously for 30 minutes to reach the private jet we had been supplied with by our benefactor. With Henley next to me on one side and Atlas on the other my leg nervously twitched the whole way there. I turned around and looked out the back window only to see the other taxi with Jack and Merritt squished in together. A smile played on my lips as I saw them chatting but soon vanished when the terrifying thoughts of the plane started to creep back in. "Deep breaths... deep breaths..." Atlas whispered from next to me. I did as he said trying to calm myself down - it was useless.

"I would say you don't have to come if you don't want to but you do and you'll be fine trust me Tessy..." Atlas said without the hushed whisper tone to his voice. Tessy was the nickname the group has given me which took even longer to get used to responding to. I didn't mind though, I kind of like it...

I dragged my suitcase towards the private plane attempting to act brave for the horseman. I didn't want to seem like I was a baby, or that I was super melodramatic. My breathing was super whack but I managed to make it through all the procedures until it got to the boarding. Once we got onto the plane we all sat down and thanks to the gods I was next to Jack and Atlas, how great (note the sarcasm)...
