Kara had been sitting on the counter in the music store eating a slice of birthday cake that she had brought with her from home. It had been her birthday the day before and although her family didn't celebrate birthdays much she still had a cake and brought a few pieces to share with Beyoncé and the store owner, Tom. When Beyoncé walked in, looking larger than any of them had seen her before, Kara gasped and almost let the cake drop out of her mouth.

"Jesus!" The young girl exclaimed. "You look like you're carrying a beast!" She yelled, Beyoncé was just glad that Blue didn't retaliate at Kara's remark and walked over to the counter giving the girl an evil but playful glare.

"The girl's got a point." Tom added, "Are you sure you're not giving birth today?" He slid a piece of cake over to her and she picked it up before taking a large bite out of it. "I think Blue's ready to come out, she's sending you all the signs Sasha." Beyoncé laughed a little and licked her lips.

"What signs?" She asked,

"Oh don't get him started on his old man superstitions again." Kara groaned.

"Oh you little rat! Why don't you go upstairs and let the big people talk." He stuck his tongue out at her and Kara grabbed her slice of cake and jumped down from the counter making her way up stairs to play some piano before her lesson started. "Oh Sasha, so young and uneducated-" He began, "You're glowing, Blue's kicking all the time, there's a full moon tonight, your stomach is suddenly very large and your arguing with your sister which just means that the baby is on the way." Beyoncé wanted to ask how on earth that meant the baby was on the way but she didn't bother. Instead she shook her head with a laugh and walked up the stairs to go to teach Kara.

"Tom, I love you but you've got to stop believing everything you hear." She laughed,

"Things exist in the world far beyond our imaginations and understandings Sasha! Just you wait and see." He yelled behind her. She laughed to herself with a shake of the head then walked up stairs.

Shawn helped Scarlet carry a few boxes into her house and smiled at Marley who was sprawled across the couch asleep. Being a librarian meant that whenever the library was selling books or getting rid of a few, Scarlet always had the first picks and she got a lot of books out of it.

"She got home from work at 3 in the morning." Scarlet explained. Shawn looked down at his watch and saw that it was just past 12 but thought it better to leave her asleep because she had been coming home late for the past two days. He was sure it wasn't work though, he figured it was about that girl he had heard her talking about.

"What's up with her and Bey?" He asked Scarlet, "Why are they still not talking? I get it, Bey can get a bit overbearing but it's never this bad. What could she have found out?" He placed the box of books down on the ground and helped Scarlet lift them out and put them in the book case she had just brought.

"Well Marley has had a troubled life and she doesn't like to talk about it. You know what Bey's like, she wants to talk about everything." Scarlet and Shawn continued putting the books away and Shawn shrugged.

"That true, you know all about her life. What do you think it was that Bey found?" Shawn asked curiously,

"If Marley's not telling you, neither am I." Scarlet looked up at him and he nodded his head in understanding, "But I think it's healthy and right for her to talk to you two instead of me all the time. I'm just an old woman, you're her age and you understand better than I ever could. Try to talk to her." Scarlet took the book from Shawn's hand and pushed him back in the direction of the living room. He walked over to the living room slowly and poked his head in to see Marley sitting up scratching her head.
