The next morning we wake up early and head to Hollywood Studios. When we walk into the park, it actually feels like I'm in a real movie. The shops look like movie sets, and there's a big stage at the end of the main road.
"What should we do first?" Taylor asks.
I look down at my map and see that a Toy Story shooting game is nearby. "Let's play Toy Story Mania," I suggest.
"Oh! Yeah that's so much fun!" Sylvie exclaims.
We walk towards the ride/game and pass Green Army Men from the Toy Story movies. We go through the line and grab 3-D glasses for the ride.
"Dylan, ride with me," Mia demands while pulling at his arm. I look over at Sylvie pleading with her to do something. She just frowns and gets in the same lane as me to ride.
"Why would she do that?" I ask Sylvie as I try to shoot at targets. I really need to talk to Dylan.
"I'm not sure. I'll try to get you two to do something alone, but you need to start standing up for yourself," she tells me. "He's your boyfriend."
She's right, I'm a scaredy cat.
The ride ends and I end up scoring really low. I'm too distracted with my thoughts, everyone beats me.
"Dylan, can we go do something alone?" I ask him.
"Uh, yeah sure. The Little Mermaid Show?"
Of course, something we can't even talk in."Meet us at the Tower or Terror when you guys are done," Sylvie tells us.
We break apart from the group and walk in silence towards the show. Dylan plays on his phone while we wait in line and barely says anything.
I watch the show with my mind in a different place. Why is he acting like this? What did I do? My anxiety is making me question everything, and I feel like everything is my fault.
At the end of the musical when Ariel and Prince Eric get to be together, I start to become upset. Is Dylan really my prince? It doesn't even feel like this could be my happily ever after.
When we're walking out of the building, Dylan's back on his phone.
"Who are you texting?" I finally ask him.
"Um... just my mom," he tells me. For some reason I don't believe him. Sure, he texts his mom, but not this often.
"Are we okay?" I say, touching his arm.
"Yeah, I mean, why would-" his phone buzzes and interrupts him. I peek over at his phone and see the name Mia pop up on the screen.
"Why wouldn't you tell me you were just texting Mia?"
He shrugs and continues typing on his phone. Fine, two can play that game.
I pull out my phone and find the texts from Eric. I type out 'Hey 😊' and hover my thumb over the send button. I look over at Dylan and he's barely paying any attention to me. I press send.
We begin walking towards the Tower of Terror to meet our friends, when Eric texts back saying, "Hey Princess, what's up?"
I blush at being called princess, I'm still not used to it. I reply with, "Are you doing anything right now?"
What am I doing is the real question.
He replies almost instantly, "Not really, I'm off today. Why?"
After reading his texts, I run into something and hit my head off a lamppost. "Ouch..." I mumble.
I glance over at Dylan again. He doesn't even notice I've stopped, and continues walking. What is his problem? My heart starts racing at the thought of Dylan and Mia being together. What if he likes her?
Then I realize, I forgot to take my pills this morning. I need to calm myself down.
I decide not to catch up to him and walk at my own pace. I pass the center stage as two storm troopers pass by.
"Could you come to Hollywood Studios by chance?" I message Eric.
I start wandering around, not really caring about getting to the Tower of Terror. I walk into some stores and look at the various Mickey ears. I find a pair of sparkling Minnie ears and buy them.
I toss the price tag and place the headband on my head. It's not as comfortable as I had hoped. I look in a mirror and see that the headband almost blends in with my dark brown hair.
I check my phone and have a text from Sylvie asking where I am again like yesterday. I ignore it and go to Eric's message.
"I can't go anywhere except Magic Kingdom unless I buy my own ticket. We can go to Disney Springs in like an hour if you want though," he tells me.
I text back saying yes, and then head to the buses. I don't want to deal with anyone I came here with. I find the bus to Disney Springs and hop on. I need to start enjoying this trip.
