Claire's P.O.V
Oh my god. I can't believe this. Lord save me from this.
I'm in a completely unknown place. And I fell asleep in this said place. Now that I'm awake, I spotted a complete stranger sitting in the couch not to far from the bed where I was sleeping.
I gulped and slowly pushed myself off of the bed, hoping not to make a sound, so I won't be spotted.
I successfully succeeded in my mission which I thought was going to be a bit unsuccessful. I used that word too much.
I sneaked towards the door and before my hand could reach the doorknob, the stranger spoke giving a strong deep voice that was oh so handsome, "Good Afternoon to you too. You need to improve those sneaking skills of yours, you're too noisy."
Too noisy? I was very quiet. Or at least I think so.
"Grayson sent me to bring you up to his office," the sexy voice of the stranger said. I heard him get up from the couch but I refused to turn around and meet his eyes. With my hand still on the doorknob, I nodded allowing the
stranger to continue speaking."So...let's go," he said and I moved from the door allowing him to lead the way, still refusing to meet his eyes.
He opened the door and headed down the extremely long hall. This time the halls were filled with people of all types. When I spotted a certain something I froze in my spot and stared at it.
I can't believe this. I must still be dreaming. I'm probably still at home with mom and dad, the night before my birthday having the wildest dream of all time.
"No stalling..come!" The sexy voiced stranger said again and I ran to catch up with him.
Am I supposed to be scared or maybe even half dead or something. This is not normal. What I just saw was not normal. I mean...in fairy tales it is, but in the human world it is not.
I finally caught up with the stranger that would have probably killed me and we continued our walk down the long, and I mean extremely long, hall.
When we arrived at the 'destination' it was a simple oak door that I believed wasn't holding anything good behind it.
We stood in front of the door for what felt like years before he pushed it open and walked in motioning for me to follow him.
The interior of the room was gorgeous. The walls were a brown that signified business and two large windows on the back wall. In the center of room, positioned between the two windows was a mahogany desk and a large leather chair sitting behind it, and guess who was sitting in it, it was Aqua Man. So at least now I felt a little safe. Along the two side walls were bookshelves. The books looked centuries old. I wonder if they could explain what I saw earlier...nah I was being paranoid. I mean come on fairies aren't real.
"Welcome Claire and thank you Cade," Aqua man said with a soft, but I'm not too sure if genuine, smile.
"Whatever, can I leave now?" Cade said annoyed. With a glare from Aqua man, he groaned and slouched in one of the three chairs in front of the desk. And with that Grayson spoke.
"As promised earlier Claire, I have a story to tell.."

It's probably been like 2 months since I updated and I know it's not a good start to the first book and I apologize. I honestly don't have an excuse besides the fact that I had writers block and was suffering through some stuff. For those of you still with this book thank you... I promise I'll try to update more often.
