Tomorrow is the day I leave with Alpha Dick-head, I had packed my clothes in two bags and another bag for my books and drawing equipment, I also packed a big hand bag with the things I'll need for the trip. I found out that we'll be traveling for a whole day, five hours in a car, ten hours in a plane and another two hours in another car.
I still haven't told the kids, I'm dreading it, I asked mum to but she said that I had to. I decided to hold a little party near the lake where I can take the kids and my friends out to swim and after we eat I can tell them all.
I packed up a lunch basket and called everyone to my room. Rachel came first then Andrew then the twins, "How do you guys feel about going for a swim at the lake?" I asked enthusiastically. They all cheered and rushed off to get their swimming suit. I put mine on under my jeans and a button up shirt, there was a huge chance I'm not going to swim but just in case I needed to jump in.
I called my friends and only Leah said that she can come, my heart hurt and I felt like crying, just as I was getting used to my life it changes immensely again. In the kitchen, I found mum heating something over the stove, I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her then I leaned my head on her shoulder, my nose was at her neck and her scent calmed me and my wolf, she put her hands on my arms and let me hug her for a few seconds.
She knew I was about to cry, when she turned around her face was scrunched up with her tongue out and her eyes all looking at her nose, she tilted her head and said, "She hugged me, the pretty girl hugged me, the pretty girl is laughing, why is the pretty girl laughing?"
I was still laughing when everyone came down, mum's face went normal again and she kissed us goodbye and we headed off. Leah was already at the lake with her feet in, she was wearing her swimming suit and a bag was left on the floor next to a towel.
The twins ran to here and hugged her, they both started to talk to her excitedly. I'll give it to Leah she manged to keep track of their talking for a minute before Rachel joined in and then she lost track. I turned to look at Andrew only to find him stuck in his shirt.
I laughed and gently eased it off him. He jumped in and splashed the girls successfully getting their attention and making them leave the poor girl. Leah joined me on the blanket and I took off my shirt and laid down on my back, she followed suit and turned her body to me, "So what do you need to tell me?"
I gulped and replied, "I'm going with Alpha Lame-butt tomorrow at around seven in the morning. We'll be traveling the whole day and I won't reach their till around midnight".
Leah looked at silent then yelled "What?! No! You hate him, so why on earth are you leaving with him?"
I put my hand on her mouth and signed to the kids with my head, she lowered her voice but whispered harshly, "he's forcing you. You told us what he said. You can't go, your parents and siblings need you".
"I have to. You know what he'll do, don't tell me off about it". I sat up and faced her. I spoke quickly and urgently, "You're the only one I ever told about me wanting to leave this pack, Leah. You and I both know that I wouldn't have lasted another year here, I would have left, I can't". I broke off my voice cracking, "I can't stay here, every damn where I turn she's there, sometimes I swear I can catch her scent, its driving me insane".
Leah was crying silently she nodded weakly, I went on, "I'll come back, but I have one favour, can I ask?"
"Yeah anything". She was trying very hard not to sob and I found myself loving this girl so much more.
"Don't tell the boys that he's still an ass when I left. Tell them that he became nice and was actually trying to be a good mate for me".
Leah promised, our convocation eventually drifted but I can tell she didn't like me leaving on bit. When I met Leah, she was a joke to many, her crazy dyed hair was the reason for a lot of bullying she went through, when she found she was mates with Thomas they moved school the same time as me and Alex did and that's the story of how we met.
