Tyler's POV
I can't say I wasn't nervous meeting Scott formally for the first time because I was — I was deathly afraid. It probably because the way we met wasn't very ideal. To be honest, I hated him from the first sight, but I couldn't help but to be attracted to his good looks. Great, now I'm contradicting myself.
We're supposed to meet each other tonight after school, but I don't even know where we're going. He said he'll meet me at the bakery, but I doubt we'll be staying there the whole time because that'll be kind of boring. Well, as long as I get to spend time with him and learn more about him, I don't really mind. I know know much about the person anyway and what better way to spend the first date that getting to know your partner, right?
"Tyler! Are you ready yet?" my mom yelled from downstairs. Oh yeah, my parents were thrilled when they found out that I was going on a date. I guess they were happy to finally believe that I'm over that bítch D— yeah, I'm not even going to say his disgusting name. Whatever.
"No, mom! I don't know what to wear!" I shouted back at her, freaking out because I've been staring at my clothes for the past hour and I still haven't made a decision.
"Well hurry up! Isn't your date in thirty minutes? It's not polite to keep your date waiting, you know!"
"Alright! Alright!"
Giving up, I decided to finally call Cassandra for help. "Cassandra? I'm freaking out right now, what should I wear for my date?"
"Hmm... I don't know, Tyler. Maybe I can help you... if I can fûcking see you! Dude, we're on the phone right now, I can't just imagine what the hell your choices are!"
Oops. She was right. I hung up on her without another word and quickly turned my laptop on. I opened the Skype application and logged in. It only took a couple of rings before she finally answered my call.
"Better?" I asked, smirking.
"You're an a-hole you know. Most people would at least tell me they were going to hang up," she deadpanned.
"Whatever. Now help me. I have to meet with him in thirty minutes."
"Alright, show me your choices." I grabbed all of my clothes and presented it in front of my computer and flashed them on the camera. "I would go with the striped black and white polo shirt and a pair of skinny jeans. Any black or brown shoes would work."
"Isn't that too simple?"
"Hey! You asked for a suggestion, I gave you one. Take it or leave it. It's only a first date anyway, so it doesn't matter much what you wear."
"What if my outfit scares him off? There might never be a second date!"
"Jeez, calm down! You don't even know if you'll like the guy. If you scare him off, then he's probably not the one for you, Tyler."
"Okay, whatever. Thanks for your help." I ended the call and turned the laptop on. I hurried to the bathroom and quickly threw on my clothes.
Afterwards, I thoroughly brushed my teeth so that Scott wouldn't think I have bad hygiene practices if he ever catches me with bad breath. I was on my way down the stairs when I heard the doorbell ring. My mom was already near the door while waiting for me so she went right ahead and and opened the door.
