Special Chapter
Francine's POV
I did it! I got into the culinary school in France! All of my life I've always dreamed to be a chef and this is finally my chance to chase after it! I've worked hard to get into this prestigious school, so I'm really excited to be admitted.
The course takes 4 years, so I'm going to have to live there for a while. I really wish I didn't because my life is here in Los Angeles, but if I want to become a chef, I have to do this. I don't want to leave everyone here, especially Hunter, my boyfriend of 2 years.
Today's our second anniversary and he wanted us to have a romantic date tonight. Unfortunately, it's also the time I'm going to have break the news to him. I only want his support though, so hopefully he doesn't object to my plans. Yes, he's known of my dream since we became official, but I never told him that I applied at a culinary school in Paris, so hopefully he takes the news well.
Right now, I'm waiting for him at home to pick me up for our date. I haven't decided when to tell him yet, but it has to before the night is over.
when he finally arrived, he gave me a call so I can come out. I knew he wouldn't come to the door, because he's probably too excited to spend the night together. I don't blame him though, because I came running towards his car as soon as I locked the front door.
I saw him staring at me with awe and I couldn't help but flaunt myself in front of him. I'm not the slûtty type — hell no — but it's fun to tease him sometimes. I quickly ran over to the passenger side and got in the car.
As soon as I opened the door, his smelled filled me and I just felt so bad for having to tell hi, the news tonight. I was excited to celebrate our 2nd anniversary, but not to tell him that I'm leaving for four years.
"Are you excited, hon?" he asked, glancing over to me as he drove off.
I hesitated to answer, "Uh sure!" There was a moment of silence. He didn't say anything because he probably sensed the hesitation in my answer. "Actually, Hunter, I have something to tell you."
"What is it?"
"I'll tell you after dinner, okay?"
We got to the restaurant faster than I though. I enjoyed spending time with Hunter so much that I almost forgot about it. That was, until he reminded me and asked what it was. I was a nervous wreck. I didn't know how to start.
"So... babe,"
"Yeah?" I asked asked.
"On the way here, you said you wanted to talk about something?"
"Oh yeah! I got in to a culinary arts school!"
He looked relieved for a while, but I'm sure it won't last when I tell him the next part.
"That's awesome honey! Where is it?"
"That's kind of what I wanted to talk to you about," I said.
