Rhazien's POV
{Bad Liar}
*I know the girl I have playing Josephine doesn't have brown eyes but for my sake let's just pretend that she does
________________
Stupid soulmate thinking that she can lie to me.
She's a pretty bad liar too. Whenever she lies, her eyes dart from one side to the other and she starts cracking her knuckles. Her voice rises a little too. I don't know whether it's good that she's a bad liar since I will know when she's bullshitting me or bad since she won't be able to keep anything a secret or lie for me if I ever need her to.
But the most important thing is that she didn't reject me. I told her about soulmates and that she was stuck with me no matter what and she accepted it. She probably thought I was joking around but she accepted it. It's common for many to be rejected by their soulmates if the soulmate is a human since they don't feel the connection as strongly, but it is there. I can tell that she felt it since her eyes immediately sought me out the moment she stepped foot in the diner.
For a soulmate, she isn't bad. I knew that I was going to be stuck with my soulmate either way but at least I didn't get an ugly soulmate. She has dirty blond, curly hair that reaches just past her shoulders and it works well with her dark brown eyes. She's at a good height to where I'm not having to bend my head down all the way to look at her face. She keeps calling me out whenever I swear but she'll get over it.
I lean against a dark part of a wall and watch as she quickly leaves the backyard of some random family's house and quickly runs towards another house before getting inside and shutting the door closed. Even without the cues she gave me, I can tell it wasn't her house since I could sense a couple with three kids inside, and one of them ran past the window and I can tell that they aren't related. She could have been adopted but then she decided to walk through the backdoor rather than the front door like anyone else would have done.
Since I know that she's already inside her home and safe, I make my way back towards the hotel and get to my room. I slam the doors open and see Ashton and Dario on their phones. Oh yeah, that reminds me.
"Delete my number, I'm getting a new phone," I tell them, grabbing Dario's phone from his hands and sending that same message to everyone of importance to me.
"What why? And give me back my phone," Dario says, taking the phone once I finished typing the message.
"Because I fucking wanted to. Now I'm going to go buy a new phone and then come back in a while. Make sure that everyone that had my number in the past gets that message since I don't want them texting my old phone," I order.
"If you're gonna go, use the car I stole from a few towns over," Ashton says, tossing me the keys. "I took out the license plate and other items and put in another one so you shouldn't have any trouble with getting caught, not that it matters when you do. Don't take a cab since it's money that you don't need to be spending."
"Nice," I tell him, nodding at him once before stepping out of the room. I quickly find the car that Ashton is talking about in the garage and I get inside and start the car. I don't know my cars since I don't care about cars but this one seems to be pretty good. It runs and there's a bunch of systems here so I guess it's fine. I don't fucking know. It runs that's all that matters.
I start the car and drive towards the closest Sprint store that I came across when I was coming back here. There's an open parking space and I speed quickly to get the spot before the other car can. The man driving glares at me but I glare right back and his eyes widen before looking down and driving away while mumbling to himself. I can hear him curse me out but that's not really important right now.
