It felt weird after lunch. Hearing that Luke was coming back. I mean I never did get to say goodbye, it was all so sudden. I don't know what exact day he left. I last saw him at school on Friday and when he wasn't in for the next week. We went to his house to find him a week later on Friday. We all thought maybe he had gone on holiday. Of course if it was a holiday it had lasted two years and he would be pretty tanned by now that's for sure. Schools almost over for today. Cant wait I just wanna get in my unicorn onsie and watch endless episodes of My Little Pony and SpongeBob. I told you I was still a kid!
"See you tomorrow babe" Anna said to Rhys hugging him.
"You too" he replied.
"Come on we are gonna miss the bus" tugging Annas arm.
"Bye!" I shouted back at Rhys as me and Anna left to catch the bus.
"Text me later Little 'n!" he shouted back.
"Will do!"
"OoO Grace!" Anna said.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Jason's got his eye on you! Don't turn round!"
I had to look. I couldn't resist. He shook his scruffy brown hair out of his eyes and looked up. Hands in his pockets, he slouched on the wall clutching his bag. His lopsided smile filled me with butterflies and I spun back round.
"Grace I said not to! He will think we are talking about him"
"Well we are so does it matter?" I giggled.
"Yes it does! There is our bus now" She said pointing to the yellow double decker.
"Bagsie front seat on top deck!"
"Grace there is more than one seat at the front.
"Not if I lie down there isn't"
We ran laughing toward the bus and left for home.
Once I got home I put my cartoons and grabbed some popcorn. I do this at least once a week since I was 12! In the middle of Spongebob capturing Plankton trying to steal the krabby patty formula for the 1,000 time that season the door bell rang out. Maybe Dad forgot his key.
I opened the door...
"Hi" His deep voice sent chills down my spine.
