The next day, I woke up as usually to the sound of my alarm plus the new texts of good morning from Anna and Rhys and cute messages from Jason. I really did like him. In fact, I couldn't stop thinking about him! Anna said it was just a crush and I should do something about it. I'm just going to see how things go at the minute. Who knows? I might end up with boyfriend by the end of this week and it was only Wednesday! I'm in such a good mood lately.

"Morning Little 'n!" Rhys shouted happily down the corridor at me.

"Hiya!" I cheerily replied.

"Where's Anna?" he asked looking worried.

"Don't Worry she is just sick she texted me this morning"

"I wish texted me about it"

"She probably fell asleep you know what she is like"

"True! Wanna go and see if Luke is in today?"

We went up the support Office hoping she would let us off lessons. A teacher was sat in the desk typing away rapidly. With a disgusted look on her face she took off her thin wiry glasses judging us with her squinty eyes.

"Ummm hi we are looking for a friend" She never replied "His name is Luke is he here?"

After a second of silence that felt like an hour she responded.

"No he isn't in school today now leave my Office you're bothering me" She snapped back, pushing us out of the room with her beady eyes.

As Rhys started to walk out, I was about to follow him out but I noticed something strange about her. She had a scar running right down the top of her hand.

"Leave" She commanded standing up to open the door herself and pushed me out of the room.

Slam!

"Well she was nice wasn't she?" Rhys sarcastically as we walked away from the door.

"What if my note made him not come back? Maybe he doesn't want to see us" I worried.

"No I'm sure he does he is just ill today. That woman is probably holding him hostage!"

I was laughing but what if that was true? She looked like she could kill someone. My mind was full of thoughts and I couldn't concentrate.

Jason seemed to be avoiding me all day. Before I left for the bus I saw him grab his bag and come walking over.

"Hey Grace"

"Hi Jason, how are you? Haven't spoken to you all day"

"Yeah sorry I've had a lot on my mind lately"

"Don't worry about it, I just hope you are okay"

"Yea I am. Are you busy later?"

"No I'm just hanging out at home. I would hang out with you but I got a mountain of homework to do"

"That's okay we still on for the weekend?"

"Yeah definitely I'm looking forward to it"

"Got you a gift!"

"Really?" I blushed and twirled my hair hoping he would notice.

"Turn round I will put it in your bag it's a surprise for when you get home" He put it in my bag I couldn't tell what it was. He had wrapped up neatly in cute brown paper packaging. I can't wait to open it!

Practically running home, I got to the front garden in record time. I looked in my bag to find my keys. Shall I open it now? No I will once I'm inside. Where are my keys?

Franticly I searched my bag over and over. No Keys! Maybe they fell out when Jason opened my bag? How am I gonna get in my house now?! I slumped down beside the door. Defeated.
