My eyes snapped open. I shot up in bed. Sweating. My breath heavy. I had the most horrible dream. I felt like I couldn't stop running. Running away from something I cant remember now. They say if you have a dream were you are running it means you feel out of control. I glanced at my phone.
Jason: Morning I'm looking forward to the weekend!
I didn't want to respond. Did I really want this? I will just leave things for now. I don't want to rush into anything right now. I had a lot going on. Anyway Luke was coming in today. I might as well out some effort into how I look for once as I'm awake early.
I got to the bus in good time buying my own coffees on the way.
"Bought you a coffee!" I triumphantly said to Anna.
"I bought me and you one already numpty!"
"Damn it! I was trying to be organised!"
"We will just give them to the guys"
"The guys one of them being Luke. Im nervous. Where did he go? I have so many questions!"
"Don't bombard him when we get there!" she added as the bus drove away.
"Hi Guys!" Rhys said.
"Have you seen him yet? Have you? Have you?" jumping at him like and excited dog.
"No not yet" he replied giggling.
"Morning Babe! Got a coffee spare for you!" Anna said laughing at me.
"Morning! Thanks girl! Do you still remember what Luke looks like?"
"I think so" said Anna
"We will know him when we see him im sure of it"
I saw Jason outside class, as we walked towards him. I met him in college so I don't think he would know Luke. I decided to ask him anyway.
"Do you know the new guy Luke?"
"Not really but I have seen him and I don't trust him one bit. You shouldn't speak to him" Jason shook his head.
"Why dont you trust him?"
"Well I know he left without trace from your secondary school and was never seen again until now. Do you not think thats a bit strange?" Maybe Jason has been talking to people from our old school.
"Well yea its a bit strange but he was a close friend"
"If he were a true friend he would have told you where he was going before leaving you worry about him years. I just want you to be safe and I don't trust him"
"I haven't even meet him yet!"
"You don't want to trust me. Do what you want. See you after class" He walked away looking stressed.
"Come on Grace the bell is about to go" Rhys called me over and I followed him and Anna into class.
I couldn't stop thinking about what Jason said about Luke. Did I really want to see him again? No what am I thinking he is my friend of course I want to speak to him. Yea I don't know what happened to him for the past few years but that doesn't matter now. He is back hopefully for good!
