When I woke up Annabeth wasn't on top of me, or beside me. There was nobody even in the room. I sat up and winced at the pain my body was in. I lifted up my shirt but there wasn't anything there. "Maybe I side effect..." I mumbled to myself. I got out of bed and walked over to the door. I could hear laughing downstairs so I opened the door and walked down the stairs.
Everyone was enjoying a nice meal and I didn't want to disturbe them so I just sat on the stairs and watched. After about 10 minutes they finally noticed me after laughing at one of the jokes. "Yay, mister is awake!" Emily cheered. "Percy!" Annabeth ran up and hugged me so tight that I thought i'd lose consciousness again. "Okay okay Annabeth calm down." I laughed. "Oh sorry." She apologized. She let go and let me sit down. "So Percy how do you feel?" Chiron asked. "Well I was able to walk down here so good I guess." I replied. "You guess?" Chiron asked. "Yeah. When I woke up it felt painful for some reason. I thought it was just a side effect." I replied back. "Thats strange. I don't remember the rememdy saying it had any side effects."

I was still stuffing my mouth when Chiron said that. "If it doesn't have any side effects could it just be stiffness?" I asked. "No I don't think so. I sat up straight, it just hurt." Percy replied. "Hmm...Percy remove your shirt." Chiron blurted out. Annabeth blushed, Percy looked shocked, Emily's mom covered Emily's eyes, and I sat there laughing. "I want to check and see if anything is wrong." Chiron said most likely embarassed by the words he chose.
Percy blushed a little but took his shirt off anyway. I was behind Percy so I had a front row view to the millions of scars on his back. I felt sorry for him and Annabeth. They had to deal with that all by themselves. Annabeth looked at the scars with a sad look as well. "I don't see anything wrong. Are you sure you felt something." Chiron asked. "Yeah i'm sure. It wasn't small thats for sure." Percy replied.
Chiron looked a little longer until he was sure nothing was there. "I don't see anything, but just in case be careful and don't push yourself to much." Percy nodded and put his shirt back on. "Oh yeah! I have a surprise for you three outside for your trip. How about we take a look." Chiron said.
