~Time skip to the Halloween season~
Jack ended up telling Jen about how Brooklyn isn't coming back to town and how he doesn't even know where Brooklyn is. Jen got mad but got over it since Jack didn't really forced her to do anything bad. Now it's the Halloween season and the Halloween dance is only three days away. Jack wants to ask Jen out but he's too afraid of what she will say. He's been keeping his feelings towards her a secret to everyone except for one person. Ever since Jack told Jen the truth about Brooklyn and deleted the photo they've become great friends. Not as great as Pat and Jen's friendship but it was still good.

~Two days until dance~
Jack: Hey Jen...so do ya have a date to the dance...
Jen: Nah and if I did I would probably be a nervous wreck
Jack: Heh...um same
Jen: But didn't you date before? You think you would be confident if you dated again...
Jack: Oh that's right! Heheh...
Jen: Are you okay? You seem to be sweating a lot...
Jack: Yeah I'm fine it's just really hot right now...
Jen: That is true I guess...well do you have a date?!
Jack: Oh um no...
Jen: Well I hope you find someone. You only got two days left
Jack: Yeah...heheh...
As Jen walked away my friend who is now Jen's friend came up to me.
Jack: ...hey...
???: Don't "hey" me. When are you going to ask her to the dance!
Jack: Listen Megan...I just...I just don't have the courage...
Megan: Oh please I've known you since kindergarten...you're always confident
Jack: ...
Megan: I'm sorry I have to do this Jack...but...if you don't ask her then I'll ask her for you...
Jack: Okay...
Megan: JACK!
Jack: What?!
Megan: If I ask Jen out for you it'll be meaningless...you need to ask her yourself
Jack: ...I'll try...
Megan: You better...

~One day until dance~
Jack was a nervous wreck when he went up to Jen.
Jack: Jen...um can I talk to you...
From the corner of his eye Jack can see Megan smirking and giving a thumbs up.
Jen: Sure! I'll be back Megan
They walked to the front of the school.
Jen: So what did you wanted to tell me?
Jack: *takes deep breath* Willyougotothedancewithme?!
Jen stood there shocked and then smiled.
Jen: Of course I will!
Jack: Really I didn't think you would want to...
Jen: Why wouldn't I
Jack: I don't know...maybe because of what I did a couple weeks ago...
Jen leans in and hugs Jack.
Jen: All of that is forgiven
Jack hugs her back.
Jack: Well I guess I'll see you tomorrow...
Jen: Yeah...
The thing that Jack and Jen didn't know was that there was a Pat eavesdropping on them. Pat had tears in his eyes. Pat was going to ask her out. Pat was going to dance with her. Pat was going to be happy with her. Now Jack has taken all of that away from him. Pat wiped the tears away and waited until Jen was alone.
*bell rings*
As Jack said bye and left to the football field Pat made his way to Jen.
Pat: Well someone looks happy
Jen: I just got asked out to the Halloween Dance!
Pat: Wow congratulations!
Jen: Thanks!
Jen then noticed some tear stains on Pat's cheeks.
Jen: Pat...what happened?!
Pat: Nothing...
Jen: Pat...tell me please...
Pat: I'm fine...
Jen: Pat-
Pat: I'M FINE!
Jen took a step back and was a little shocked.
Pat: Sorry...
Jen: It's alright...but just know that you can tell me anything...
Pat nodded and just started walking. Jen got the idea and left him alone.

I was going to ask her...we were going to be dancing...we were going to be happy...but now she was asked out before me...if she starts to like Jack then I won't have a chance with her...now I'm going to be alone..., thought Pat as he walked to his house. Since he was home alone he ran to his room and started crying. He was laying on the floor with tears coming down his face. He went to his closet and got a bat and started banging on his walls. He left several holes but he didn't care. He started screaming and then headed to his mom's liquor cabinet. He grabbed some vodka and started chugging it down. He soon finished it and got some tequila and chugged that too. He grabbed some whiskey and chugged that too and he soon found himself drunk. He headed to his room and passed out on his bed. He forgot about everything even the fact that he has school in the morning.
