Chapter 14

After Jen and Pat met up they started walking to Jen's house. For the first time in forever the silence between Jen and Pat was awkward. They didn't know what to say or do. They just kept walking there until they arrived. The walk was only about 10 minutes or so but for Jen and Pat it felt like an hour. Once they arrived they headed to the living room and looked through Netflix. 

Jen: So what do ya want to watch?

Pat: I don't know

Jen: Have you watched 13 Reasons Why? 

Pat: Nah 

Jen: Well I haven't too so ya wanna watch it?

Pat: Eh sure 

Pat and Jen started watching it and soon they started getting into it. (Don't expect me to know every basic thing about this show I've only watched Hannah's suicide scene and that's it sorry if I trigger anyone who's a fan of that show). When it got to Hannah's suicide scene Jen started shaking. Pat took notice and didn't blame her for it. He pulled her close and put his arm around her. She stopped shaking but was still staring at the screen in shock. Soon Pat decided to take the show off seeing as Jen started crying a bit. He took her to her room and tried to calm her down. As soon as she stopped crying she started getting sleepy. Pat was staring at her as she fell asleep. If you went into Jen's room it would look as if they were cuddling, with Jen laying on Pat's lap with her head on his chest. Pat kept staring at her but then remembered everything that happened which got him to start tearing up. Pat was trying to keep quite but he was still sniffling. Since Jen wasn't fully asleep she woke up a bit and heard Pat crying. She quickly got off his lap, turned around and faced him. 

Jen: Pat...PAT! What's wrong?! 

Pat: N-nothing I'm f-fine...

Jen: Please tell me...

Pat: Promise you won't get mad

Jen: Promise

Pat: Well ever since you and Jack started dating I've just been very jealous and sad and angry. I want to be happy for you, I really do, but seeing you with someone else really messed me up

Jen leaned in and kissed Pat. Jen backed away slowly. Pat just stared and then realized what she did. 

Pat: You do realize that you have a boyfriend...right

Jen: Yeah but I don't really have any feelings for Jack. I just went out with him because I didn't want to break his heart...

Pat: So you don't love him...?

Jen: No...I don't

Pat leaned in and started kissing Jen. She melted into the kiss and soon they started to make out. After a few minutes they hear a door opening and they pull apart. 

Jen's Mom: Hellloooo?

Jen quickly got off Pat and ran to the living room where her mom was. While Jen was explaining that Pat was there he couldn't help but blush at the fact that he literally just made out with Jen. His long time crush and best friend. Pat was dozing off but was brought back to reality by Jen yelling in front of him. 

Jen: Pat! My mom wants to say hi!

Pat: Oh dang sorry I'm coming!

They made their way to the kitchen and Jen's mom ran to Pat. 

Jen's Mom: You've grown a lot since the last time I saw you! Sorry I didn't see you when you first came back. Work has been really hectic lately

Pat: It's okay I understand 

Jen's Mom: So are ya planning on staying the night? I'm not sure if the old sleeping bags will fit both of you but we can see

Pat: No no it's fine I can just sleep in the couch

Jen's Mom: Nonsense! Come let's go find the sleeping bags. It can be like old times

Jen: Hey mom...how about we just set up blankets and pillows on my room floor...I have tv there so we can watch movies...

Jen's Mom: Alright then but don't get too crazy you kids!

Jen: Mom! Stop being...a...MOM! 

Jen's Mom: What o you mean? It's basically my job to be a mom. I'm just reminding you kids not to get too "rowdy"

Jen blushed a lot and Pat was trying not to laugh. 

Jen: Okay okay you can go now!

Jen pushed her mother out and when she closed the door she and Pat can hear Jen's mom laughing on the other side the door. 

Pat: Sooo ya ready to have some fun~?

Jen: *gulp* 

A/N: YOOOOO sorry I haven't posted in a long time. I'm still grounded from my phone and my mom thinks I type too hard so she doesn't want me to use her laptop. So basically the only way to type the story is at school but they blocked it from my account cuz um I used Wattpad too much...hehe...BUT my uncle was nice enough to let me use his computer so ye. ALSO! My friend   told me that I got to 1,000 reads and I'm just like "NO!" and she like "YAAA" so I checked and OML! THANKS FOR 1,000 READS! I honestly thought this book will only get like 80 reads BUT IT DIDN'T! THANKS YA GUYS FOR THE SUPPORT! I'll try to post with whatever I can get so you might have to be patient SORRY
