They walked into Jitters and stepped up to the counter.
"Umm... I'll take one- wait, you have a flash drink!?" Kara said looking at Barry. The barista  looked at Kara as if she had two heads and explained;
"Yes, we've had that for years."
"She's never been here before, she's visiting from, uh... far away," Barry explained looking at Kara. Hoping she'd catch on and stop alluding to the fact that he was the Flash. She looked confused but caught on quickly. She smiled brightly and nodded. "Right. Well, I'll have the Flash then." Kara said smiling, Barry ordered the same thing and they left.
"Why didn't you tell me you had a drink named after you!? " she said smiling at Barry as they walked down the street. "If I had that it'd be the first thing I'd mention to visitors! That's so awesome! " she gushed. Barry just chuckled at her excitement and put his arm around her to give her a side hug.

"I'm really glad your here." He said looking down on her with a smile.

"I am too," she said happily, looking back up at him.

"Let's go get you a room to stay at the hotel in. Come on follow me."

"Ok let's go!" They threw out their empty cups and quickly looked around to make sure there were no witnesses. The streets were barren so they sped off with Barry in the lead. They stopped once they reached the hotel and walked in. They walked up to the desk and rang the bell sitting on the counter. After a minute an older woman came out from the back.
"What can I do for you two?" She asked brightly. "My friend needs a place to stay do you have any rooms?" Barry asked.
"Sorry we're booked solid hon," the woman said.
"That's ok, thank you." The woman nodded and returned to the back room.
"Well, that sucks. Where will I stay?" Kara asked as they left the hotel.
"It's fine, you can just stay with me until a room opens up" Barry offered.
"Are you sure?" Kara looked at him concerned. Remembering what Joe had said about Iris, she knew she didn't want to make it worse.
"Yeah it'll be fun" Barry replied reassuringly.
"Well, ok, yeah! Thank you!" Kara said hugging Barry.

"No problem. Remember 'On my couch, you're welcome to crash'!" He said winking at her.

Kara laughed and replied, "And if I ever need a hand you'll be there in a flash" she added laughing.

"See I told you that was funny," he said. They continued laughing and talking until it began to get dark. "We should probably head to my apartment now before it gets too late."

"Yeah let me just go grab my bags, I left them at star- " Kara was suddenly cut off by a gust of wind. Before she could even register what had just happened, Barry was once again in front of her with her bags at her feet.
"-labs" she finished.

"Now come on!" He said, gesturing for them to get going.

"What? No help carrying?" Kara mocked offence as she grabbed the two bags on the ground.
"Well if you insist..." he said a shrug, walking towards her.
"Barry Allen don't you dare" Kara warned, failing miserably at looking serious. Before she could add a threat Barry had picked her up bridal style and they were zooming through the streets. They stopped at his front door and he put her down and unlocked it. She walked through and turned around wondering where to go with her bags.

"Umm... you can put your stuff in the guest room. It's just down that hall and the first door to the right. I'll get dinner started. "

"Ok. And thanks again for letting me stay" Kara said.

"It's no problem! Now go unpack." Kara couldn't help but smile at his genuine kindness. She went to her room and began to unpack. As she did she realized that in her haste to leave her world she had forgotten pyjamas and only had dresses, blouses and jeans. 'I'll just buy some tomorrow. I can just wear this for tonight' she thought, looking down at her light soft blue dress. 'I'll just ditch the belt' she thought. She left the room and went into the kitchen where Barry had put out two plates, and a huge bowl of spaghetti with meatballs was on the table, a diet coke at her spot.

"Sorry it's all we had for sodas" Barry explained.
"It's fine, this is great! I'm starving!" Kara exclaimed. She sat down and began to stuff her face. Barry also began to wolf down the delicious meal. Barry finished first and put down his fork. He took a sip of his soda. Kara looked up at him and as she did she hit her elbow on the table and her diet coke fell onto her lap. She quickly dropped her fork onto her plate to pick it up, but most of the soda had already spilled all over her lap. She placed down the diet coke but as she did she hit the fork which began to fall. Luckily, Barry was alert now and caught it with ease. Kara had mopped up what she could with her napkin but her dress was soaked and her hair and body were sticky.
"I am so sorry!" Kara said, she looked down at her soaked outfit. "Hey, Barry may I take a shower? Like now?"

"Yeah totally," Barry said, "I'll clean this up!" He added smiling. Kara nodded and got up she began to leave but quickly turned around.

"Wait! Ugh! I don't have any pyjamas! I forgot mine at home! I was gonna buy some tomorrow and just wear this tonight, which clearly is no longer an option." Kara said gesturing at her dress.
"Oh, umm... you can look in my middle drawer and grab something from there," Barry said.
"Ok thank you"
"Yep," Barry said he used his speed and in one minute there wasn't any sign that anything had been eaten, let alone spilled. He sat down on the couch and began scrolling through the channels. Kara came out 7 minutes later wearing Barry's big S.T.A.R. labs sweatshirt that went down to the middle of her thighs. Her shorts were hidden by the big sweatshirt, her hair was up in a messy bun and her glasses weren't on. She sat down on the couch next to Barry. He was watching the Wizard of Oz.
"Oh my gosh, I love this movie!" Kara exclaimed.

"Good I thought it was this one that the Music Mister had mentioned but I wasn't sure." "And.." He held up a jumbo bucket of popcorn.

"You, Barry, are awesome" she said grabbing a handful of popcorn. He laughed and grabbed a piece of popcorn for himself. After about a half an hour Barry got up and whispered: "I'll be right back can you pause it?"
"Sure no problem" Kara said pausing the movie. Barry left down the hall and Kara ate some more popcorn. Kara got up to get a glass of water and looked in a mirror, she laughed as her messy bun was more than halfway to being a messy ponytail. She was about to sit back down when there was a knock on the door. Kara decided to open it and figured if it was anything bad she'd handle it. She opened the door and to her surprise it was Iris. She was looking at her phone.
"Hey, Bar' I'm not staying I just forgot my-" Iris gasped as she looked up. The person before her was not Barry, SHE was far from being Barry. She was pretty and blonde with what looked to be ONLY Barry's sweatshirt on and her hair was beyond messy.

Yay! Finally, a chapter that was 1k words. I hoped you guys liked it. I'm really getting into this story! I'm hoping to have Iris eventually make peace and be friends with Barry and Kara bc usually when I read stories that have her and Barry breaking up so he can be with Kara she's made out to be a bitch. Which just isn't like her character. Anyway plz, let me know what u think. Also sorry for any spelling/grammar mistakes. Hope you have a great day! ❤️
