Barry opened the door and walked in and took of his jacket. Then he headed towards the kitchen and placed the food down on the island. He opened the bag and pulled out the food and grabbed two sodas from the fridge just then Kara came walking in from the other room. "You're dinner m'lady." Barry joked when he saw her. He smiled as Kara's eyes lit up at the food.

"Yes! You're the best!" She exclaimed as she went to hug him. As she drew back she looked up into his eyes, they were red from crying a tear still running down his face.

"What's wrong?" Barry asked seeing her face fall. Kara brushed her thumb gently under his eye wiping away a tear before resting her hand against his cheek. She looked at him confused as she waited for an answer to her unspoken question. He leaned into her hand holding her wrist. He closed his eyes as he did so and just stayed like that for a minute before answering. He took Kara's hand off of his face and held it out. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring and placed in into her hand, wrapping her fingers around it. Barry watched as Kara pulled her hand to her chest and opened it to see what he'd given her. Her eyes widened as she saw what he had placed in her hand. She looked up at him, her eyes glossy with tears of her own. "Oh, Barry. I'm so sorry." She said hugging him. "It's because of me isn't it?" She asked, she knew it was but she still feared the answer.

"It's because she didn't trust me." Barry replied.

"Are you ok? I mean of course you're not ok, your fiance just dumped you, or did you dump her? Oh my Rao! I'm so sorry that's not what I'm meant! I am not good at this!" Kara said placing a hand over her mouth desperately trying to stop her own rant and looking at the ground. Barry just chuckled.

"At what speaking? Or making this better because you got me to laugh so I think you may be better than you think." Barry said, Kara just looked up and smiled lightly. "Look I don't want to think about it right now, ok? I just want to spend a night hanging out with you." Barry said with a smile. Kara nodded and grabbed her food and drink. "Where are you going?" Barry asked, confused. Kara didn't answer, she just laughed a little.

"Come here I want to show you something." She called from the living room. "And bring your food." She added. Barry did what he was told and went into the living room. As he entered he saw TV-tables all set up, two bowls of chips and a dip. "While you were gone I figured that it's not fair of you to get all the meals so I decided to help in the snack department. " She said as she sat down. "And.. ta-da!" She said as she grabbed a container of cookies from the table next to the couch. She placed it on the table and looked up, "I hope you like oatmeal raisin, if you don't I can go grab a different kind." She said.

Barry was grinning widely and sat down next to her placing his food on his table. "No way, oatmeal raisin are my favorite. This is awesome thank you Kara." Barry said grabbing her hand. He looked down and noticed what he did he blushed a little as did she both with a smile on their face. Kara then snapped out of it.

"Don't thank me yet," she said reaching over to the table again and pulling out Singing in the Rain and holding it up. Barry's face lit up and Kara giggled at his expression. "I figured since we watched my favorite movie the other night, it's only fair we watch your favorite tonight. Plus who doesn't love Gene Kelly?"She said beaming.

"Kara, this is amazing! Your the best!" Barry said. Kara just laughed and put the movie in. They ate in silence happily for the first bit of the movie. Once the finished their meals they moved their tables out of the way and moved towards the chips and cookies. It was getting a little chilly in the apartment but neither wanted to get up to check the thermostat. Thankfully Barry noticed a blanket was draped on the back of the couch he took it and put it on his lap he opened it up and moved closer to Kara handing her one end of it. She looked at him taking her gaze off the TV. "You looked a little cold." Barry said quietly.

"Thank you" She replied taking the end he handed her and draping it across her lap. Barry gently put his arm around her and moved a little closer.

"I don't need the whole blanket." He said, Kara smiled and was grateful that he couldn't see her blush in the darkness of the apartment. Kara leaned in as Barry kept his arm around her, neither daring to look at the other in fear of breaking the moment. Finally Kara looked up only to meet his green eyes gazing back at her. She stared at him memorizing every feature of his face, from his chiseled jaw to his beautiful eyes. Barry focused on her beautiful smile as he met her eyes that shined like sapphires from the TV light. They gradually grew closer to each other, hearts beating. All of the sudden Barry's phone rang and just like that the spell was broken. (Oh my gosh I'm rereading this and I hate myself for killing the moment!) Barry glanced at Kara who sat up more to let him have room to get his phone from his pocket. He held back a groan as he saw the caller ID "What?" He said into the phone.

"Yeesh! That's the hello I get?"

"Cisco what's up?" Barry said sighing.

"Look I know it's kinda rough with you and Iris right now so I was wondering if you wanted to come with me and Wally to go to this awesome burger place he heard about?" Cisco asked.

"No, I'm fine. Thanks." Barry said. "I'll see you tomorrow."

"Barry wait, come o-" and with that Barry hung up the phone.

"Everything ok?" Kara asked.

"Yeah, Cisco wanted me to go out with him and Wally but I'd much rather be her with you."Barry explained. Kara smiled as Barry placed his arm around her again. They got comfy again with Kara resting her head on Barry's chest. They watched as Gene Kelly began to sing and sung along softly their voices merging beautifully. As the end credits rolled Barry looked down to see the beautiful blonde peacefully sleeping on his chest. He admired her beauty and tranquility for a minute before moving a strand of hair out of her face and gingerly kissing her forehead careful not to wake her up. "Goodnight Kara Danvers or Kara Zor-el because that's your alien name, cause your an alien. To me your just amazing though." He whispered. He reached over to his phone and set and alarm to get up, not for work but just so he wouldn't ruin his day by sleeping until the afternoon. And with that he wrapped his arms around her small frame and drifted off to sleep.

Hey guys! Sorry this took so long to post I'm running really behind on homework. Anyway I hope you like this chapter. I really liked writing it. I was going to just jump into the Kara and Barry relationship but I feel like that'd be kind of rushing it, even though it will happen soon. Since Barry just broke up with Iris that night he'd probably wait more than like and hour to move on. Hope you guys had a great day!
