Caught Up In This Love

Chapter 1

Leo POV
Its been forever since me and Kate have seen each other, other than award shows and such. I really miss her, she's the most important person in my life other than my parents of course. My past girlfriends are nothing compared to Kate, yes I've loved them but the love isn't the same as the one I have for my Kate. I think I should call her just to catch up with everything I've missed over the time being.

[PHONE CALL]

Kate: "Hello ?"

Leo: "Kate is me Leo I was just calling to see how you ar---"

Kate: "OMG LEO IVE MISSED YOU SO MUCH " Kate says with excitement.

Leo: "Me too Katie, how are you?"

Kate loves it when Leo calls her 'Katie', he gave her that nickname years ago.

Kate: "I've been good Leo, Ned is out for the entire summer for 'work' and other issues, so it's just me and the kids alone at home"

Leo: "Oh, well I'm taking a break this summer from acting, I was thinking that maybe we can spend it together to catch up"

Kate: "That sounds great Leo, but would you mind the kids at home ?"

Leo: "Of course not! Kate you know how much I love your kids, I treat them like my own. I don't think they would be a problem."

Kate: "Well that's true Leo, I think they'd love to see you after such a long time"

Leo: "Me too! well it's getting late here in L.A and I don't want to keep you up this late either"

Kate: "Oh okay Leo, can't wait to see you!"

Leo: "Goodnight Katie, I love you"

Kate: "I love you too"

[PHONE CALL ENDS]

Kate POV
As I hung up the call that me and Leo just had, I wide smile appears on my face from ear to ear. This feeling came upon me, a feeling that only came to me when I talked to Leo. He's my everything honestly, I really can't imagine life without him. I sit on the edge of my bed just thinking about Leo and how I'll be spending the summer with him.

Leo POV
I just finished booking my flight to England for tomorrow morning. Me and Kate didn't really decide on what day I should visit, but I guess it isn't too soon. I'm just really excited to be able to spend time with her after a long period of time, especially without Ned around, I mean I never really liked Ned. He seemed very sketchy from the first day I met him, something about that guy just makes me feel sick to the stomach as if he's hiding something. But if Kate is happy with him then I'm happy for her as well.

----THE NEXT MORNING----

Kate POV
I wake up to the screams and crying of Bear, it's 5:00 am and I've hardly had any sleep, I guess it's just the nerves about Leo coming to visit soon. "I shouldn't be feeling this way, after all it's just Leo he's been my friend for over 20 years." I think to myself. I don't know, after hearing Leo's voice last night I couldn't bear taking him off my mind. I should really just get out of bed and go attend Bear, he probably had a bad dream of something.

"What's wrong Bear" Kate says worryingly. "I-I had a bad dream mummy.." "Its alright Bear, do you wanna come lay down in my bed with me until you feel okay?" "Yes" Kate leads Bear into her room and then onto her bed that's been only occupied by Kate since Ned has been gone. "Mummy when is daddy coming back?" Bear asks with a slightly worried tone. "He's out for work sweetie, he'll be back in a few months"

Kate POV
I should really call Ned, we haven't spoken to each other since the day he arrived in Germany for his 'business trip'.

[Kate dials Ned's number]

Ned: "whaat do youuu want?" Ned slurs.

Kate: "Um excuse me? I am your wife-"

Ned: "yeah yeah whatever.. "

Kate: "Ned where are you? you're certainly drunk aren't you !"

Ned: "so what if I'm drunk! you can't boss me around!"

Kate: "You know how I feel about you drinking Ned, shouldn't you be busy with meetings ?!"

Ned: "ugh why do you care so much about what I do, honestly Kate I didn't come for any type of business issue, I just came to free myself from you and you bossing me around! you're honestly so annoying Kate I'm tired of your shit, and I have news for you... I've been with this really hot girl since I arrived at Germany, she's a gem, haha"

Kate: "WHAT?! NED HOW COULD YOU?! Does OUR family not matter to you, do I ?"

Ned: "could you stop talking and leave me alone!"

Kate: "Ned I have very right t--"

[Ned hangs up]

Kate sat her phone on her bed and bursted out in tears . She never thought Ned would do such a thing to her. He didn't just hurt her, he hurt the entire family.

"Mummy are you okay?" Bear asked while looking down to Kate. "Yes darling I'm fine, I just miss daddy!" Kate says with a fake smile. "Go wake up Mia and Joe so we can have breakfast. "Ok mummy!" Bear happily runs out the door with a teddy bear held on his left hand. Before Kate slams a pillow onto her face her phone rings.

Leo POV
I just landed here in London and about to make my way to Reading. I decided to give Kate a call in order to let her know I'm almost there.

Kate: "Hello, Leo?"

Leo: "Hey Kate its me, I was just calling to let you know I just arrived in London and I'm making my way to your place!"

Kate: *sniffs* "What?! You're here now?! what a surprise Leo !"

Leo: "Kate are you alright, it seems that you've been crying.. "

Kate: "Oh it's nothing really, I'm okay.. yeah"

Leo: "It doesn't seem like it Kate, it's okay you can tell me anything.. is it Ned?"

Kate: "Ye-yes..." *Kate begins to sob* "I will tell you about it when you arrive"

Leo: "Okay sweetheart, I'll be there as soon as possible. Take care I love you"

Kate: "I really need you right now Leo, I love you too"

Leo contacts an uber and makes his way to Reading, to Kate, to make sure she's alright.

Leo POV

What could that douche Ned do to Kate this time. Whatever it is he's going to pay for what he did to her. She's by far the most amazing, wonderful woman I've ever known who in the right mind would try to harm her in any way possible. I guess I'll just have to find out.
