Caught Up In This Love

Chapter 12

*fast forward 1 month*

Leo POV
its been a month since I've stayed here with Kate and the kids. Its actually been the best month of my life. I've never been happier, especially with Kate by my side.

As I opened my eyes, turned over to Kate and saw that she was still fast asleep. She was facing the other way so all I saw was her back. I got closer and planted a kiss on her bare shoulder. I wrapped my arms around her and doze off.

Kate POV
A lot of things have happened this past month. I finally divorced from Ned and now me and Leo are.. a couple. He asked me to be his girlfriends last week, and I obviously agreed. Who wouldn't?

I opened my eyes and felt Leo's warmth over come my body. I turned over to him and wrapped myself around him. He was awake. As I laid over him, I placed my head on his chest. "Good morning love" Leo whispered into my ear. I smiled and softly kissed his lips. "Good morning" I said in return as I snuggled against him. There's no other place where I'd rather be.

Leo will be leaving in a couple of weeks, which makes me very sad. I'm trying to enjoy every moment with him before he had to go. In two days we're going on a trip with the kids to Paris. I'm excited to go because I've never gone to France.

Mia POV
We're going to Paris in two days ! I'm honestly so excited because I've always dreamed of seeing the Eiffel Tower. Uncle Leo is so kind, Ned would've never spent this much money on us or on my mum. I'm honestly very glad we can spend this time with Uncle Leo.

The boys are excited too, especially Joe. He's happy to actually leave the house for once. All he does during the day is play video games in his room. Bear is missing Ned, poor little bear he's too young to understand. My mum tried to tell him but he just doesn't understand. The good this is that Uncle Leo will be his father figure from now on, hopefully.

My mum is spending the day with me today so that's good, she promised me yesterday. We're going to go shopping, which we've haven't done in a while. We've tried avoiding paparazzi, obviously.

Leo POV
I rubbed Kate's back as I repeatedly kissed her forehead. I got up and made my way to the restroom. I looked over and Kate was still laying in her bed. I smiled and went back to what I was doing. I stripped down naked and got into the shower. I was half way into my shower when I heard the bathroom door open. It was Kate.

Before I knew it she got into the shower with me. I looked at her and she looked back at me. "Hold me" Kate said as she came closer. I wrapped my arms around her and held her as tight as I could.

Kate POV
I wasn't feeling so good this morning, probably morning sickness. I really needed Leo to hold me, it made me feel better. We showered together.

When we got out of the shower, Leo helped me put on my robe. As I walked downstairs, Mia and the kids made pancakes. Me and Leo sat at the table and the kids served us, I found it rather cute. Once we were all siting at the table, we ate and talked.

We mostly talked about our trip to Paris, because we were all excited about it. As the kids cleared out of the dining room Leo came up to me. He sat next to me and held my hand. "Should we tell the kids about our little thing we have going on?" Leo asked with a smirk.

I smiled. He's just too cute, honestly how am I so lucky to be dating Leonardo DiCaprio. Possibly the worlds best looking man !

"I think it's time" I responded giving him a flirtatious wink. He laughed. "Did you ever think we'd end up together ?" Leo asked with a genuine tone. "To be honest with you Leo.." I said coming closer to him wrapping my arms around his body. "I never though we'd end up like this. I though that we'd only stay friends, I was honestly sure that you only saw me as a 'friend' and nothing else" I added as I stared into his deep blue eyes, almost getting lost in them.

There was a silence.

Leo POV
Me and Kate just stood there in each other's arms. "I never thought we'd end up like this either" I said breaking the silence. I glanced down at Kate, she had her head on my chest. "I love you Leo, like I really do... you're the most important person in my life. The love of my life" Kate said as she looks up at me with teary eyes.

"That's certainly not the first time you've told me babe" I said whipping her tears that streamed down her cheek. I could almost remember the first time she told me she loved me...

FLASHBACK: Leo POV (1997)

We were on the set of Titanic on out break time. Me and Kate were in my trailer going over some lines. We were sitting on my couch when we heard a knock at the door. It was our director, James Cameron.

"Break time over" was all he said as he barged into my trailer. Me and Kate walked on set and were getting ready to film the love scene in the car. We were both quite nervous, I could tell. When we made our way to our dressing rooms I felt a hand grab mine. It was Kate's.

I turn around. "What" I said confused. "I love you" Kate said as she still held my hand. "What? You love me? You're joking" I responded. "No Leo, I love you with all my heart. I know we've only known each other for quite a few months but.. you've come someone so special in my life and I do love you!" Kate insisted.

I smiled and pulled her into a hug, I could almost feel her smiling as her face was smushed into my chest. "I love you too Katie" I said giving her a wink. She smiled and went into her dressing room.

END OF FLASH BACK

After that day, I knew I had fallen for her. She was just an amazing person, a good friend. And yes, that's was the start of me catching feelings for her.

A/N:
Hope you enjoyed this chapter! I won't be posting much this week because I will be going on vacation. I'm leaving later on today and arriving tomorrow. I will still be writing chapters but won't be posting them until I have the time ❤️🇲🇽
