Caught Up In This Love

Chapter 22

Kate POV
It's been a couple of hours since Leo has left and I already miss him. He's my sunrise on the darkest days. I don't know how i'll be able to live through all this time with out Leo. I just hope he gets to LA safe and sound.

In the meantime, me and the kids will be visiting my parents again after a couple of months of not seeing them. Mia, Joe and Bear absolutely love them, they're always asking to go back. As we got ready to depart from the house I heard my phone buzz in my back pocket. I checked and it was Leo.

He was calling me, I picked up.

Kate: "Leo I was worried, are you okay? Have your arrived in LA already?"

Leo: "Yes in fact I just arrived, don't worry I'm fine"

Kate: "Oh okay, well I already miss you like crazy babe!"

Leo: "Me too Kate but we'll see each other soon!"

Kate: " Hopefully babe, I'm looking forward to it!"

Leo: "Well I have to go now, I love you babe! Tell the kids I said 'Hi' as well!"

Kate: "I love you too Leo, and yes I will tell them, bye!"

Leo: "Goodbye!"

As I hung up I felt tension building up in my lower stomach area. I ran to the bathroom and began to puke inside the toilet. My bodybegan to ache and I felt weak. "Mia!" I shouted hoping for her to hear me. Soon I heard footsteps coming closer to the restroom door.

"Oh my goodness, mum are you okay!" Mia said worryingly. "Actually no, I think you should call grandma to come pick up the boys. I don't want them to feel sad about not going to their house" I said as my voice cracked. "Okay mum, so do you need anything else in the mean time ?" Mia asked. "No, I really need to get this out of my system" I confirmed. Mia nodded her head and left the room.

Mia POV
I began dialing my grandmothers number. As the phone began ringing, she finally picked up. I told her to come and pick up the boys in 15 minutes. As I made my way back to where my mum was at, she seemed weaker. I helped her up and brought her some water.

"Mum I think it's better if you rest, do you have any clue of why you're  feeling sick?" I asked. "No, darling I don't. I was perfectly fine a few hours ago" my mum said softly as her voice scratched. I left her room, letting her have some space. Soon my grandparents were here to pick up my brothers.

Kate POV
I don't know why I'm aching, I haven't had my period in a long time, I'm worried. After the boys left Mia brought me some tea. I took a nap hopping to wake up feeling better. My expectations were far from what reality had for me. I woke up feeling nauseous once again, I think it's better if I contact a doctor.

I called my personal physician, he's coming later today to my house. At least I don't have to sacrifice myself to go to his office, it would end up a tragedy. For the meantime me and Mia sat in our living area spending quality time together.

Leo POV
It sure feels good to be back home, even though I'm far from the person I love. My mom is in LA right now so at least get to see her. As I made my way to my room, I received a text message. I took my phone out of my pocket and checked to see who it was.

It was my friend Tobey, he wanted to hang out later on at his house with a few of other friends. I didn't see why not, so I agreed. In the meantime I showered and hanged out in my living room, until it was time to leave. Jet lag started to kick in and I felt tired.

I decided to let Tobey know that I wasn't going, because I wasn't in the mood. Before I was able to send the text, a knock was heard on my door. I made my way to the front door and a crowd of models barged into my house. I was really confused, like how did they get my address? Once they were all inside, Tobey stood by my door and gave me a pat on the back.

"What the fuck, Tobey what is this?" I asked confused. "I supposed you needed it, after that long plane ride" Tobey responded. I crossed my arms and shook my head. "Can you please take them out of my house, I don't want them here" I demanded. Tobey just stood there with a confused look on his face, as he lured the models out of my house.

I closed the door shut as they left, I sat on my couch along with Tobey.
"Well what's going on? That's certainly a first Leo" Tobey said confused. "Well.. Tobey, I have news. I'm engaged and now my life is different.." I explained. Tobey' eyes widened. "That's great! Who's the lucky girl?" He asked eagerly.

I smiled and took a deep breath. "Kate" I said. "Are you serious? You finally told her?!" Tobey shouted as he gave me a hug. "Yeah, it was mutual! I just never though it would ever happen" I added. "Well I'm sorry, about me bringing in these models.." Tobey said embarrassed. "Oh its okay, I mean you didn't know about the news.. " I confirmed.

Kate PO V
The physician should be here in any moment, im anxious to find out why I've been feeling this way. Mia came running in my room. "Mum he's here, I'll go get him" she said catching her breath. I nodded.

"Hello Ms. Winslet" the doctor greeted. "Hello" I returned. "So you said you've been feeling pain in your lower stomach area?" He questioned. "Yes, that's right" I confirmed. "Okay I will do some tests, and try my best to figure out. For the meantime one remain here and I'll get my equipment from my car" the doctor said as he made his way out of my room.

•1 hour later•

I waited patiently for the doctor with Mia by my side. I heard footsteps coming towards my room. The doctor came in and began explaining the results to me. "One more question.. " The doctor said. "Have you been sexually active for the past couple of months?" He asked nervously. "Well.. yeah. My period has also been over due" I hesitantly said. "I figured" the doctor added.

"But what does it have to do with my pain ?" I added eagerly. "Congratulations Ms. Winslet, you're about 2 weeks pregnant!" The doctor shouted. I was in shock and Mia was too. Tears began to flow down my cheeks. I never though I'd be carrying another baby, Leo's baby. "Thank you for coming by! I appreciate it" I told the doctor as he made his way out.

"Mia, can you believe this?!" I shouted in a joyful tone. "Oh my goodness, mum ! I can't! Uncle Leo should know" Mia jumped. "You're right, well I hope he isn't too tired. I will FaceTime him" I said as I reached for my phone.

Leo POV
Me and Tobey were talking and watching TV when my phone buzzed. I grabbed it from the small table in the middle of my living room. It was Kate she wanted to FaceTime. I grabbed the remote and lowered the volume. I picked up.

"Hey Kate" I said excitedly. Her face was slightly red as if she was crying. "Are you okay babe?" I added. "Leo, I have news!" Kate giggled. "What is it ?" I eagerly asked. "I'm pregnant babe! You're going to be a father soon!" Kate said as tears flowed down her face.

I couldn't believe it. I was in complete shock. Before I could say anything else I began to cry. I dropped my phone and buried my face in my hands. I was so emotional, I was going to finally be a dad. Tobey reached for my phone and handed it to me. "Kate.. that's  amazing! I can't believe it babe!" I said as my voice slightly cracked.

"Oh Leo I'm so happy as well, I just found out a few minutes ago when a doctor came to check me. I was feeling ill since after you left" Kate explained. "Well I'm glad you're okay, and that our baby is okay too!" I said as I gave her a smile. "Well Leo is getting late here in England, I will talk to you later, I love you babe!" Kate said. "I love you too babe! Take care" I said as I blew her a kiss.

I set my phone down and looked over to Tobey who was sitting there with a smile on his face. "Congrats!" He shouted as he gave me a hug. "I-I can't believe it! Its so surreal. But I'm happy and that's all that matters!"
