Caught Up In This Love

Chapter 15

Kate POV
We unpacked our things and began to get ready for our first night in this enormous mansion. The kids were down stairs in the screen room watching their favorite movies. I was tired, jet lag was hitting me hard. I sat in one of the chairs that was on the balcony and peered the view.

The sun was setting and lights began flashing, it was perfect. The Eiffel Tower almost hovered over our house, it was so close. I couldn't imagine another place to visit, I stood up and walked around the perimeter of the balcony, it was fairly big. As I sat back down I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was who I expected it to be, Leo. He had a tray with two cups of tea.

"Here" he said as he sat down a cup next to me. I smiled. "Thanks babe, you shouldn't have." I said as I turned back to the horizon. I could feel Leo closer to me, he stood me up and led me to a small couch on the edge of the balcony. We sat together and stared into the distance.

"Look" I said as I pointed at a hot air balloon floating across the sky. It was multicolored and fairly big. "We should ride one someday this week" Leo said raising a brow. "That would be great, the kids would definitely love that" I added.

Joe POV
This house was pretty cool to be honest. I never thought Uncle Leo would spend this much money on a house we'd only be staying in for a week. Mia, Bear and I sat here in the screen room watching many movies.

As Mia scrolled through the different movie options she suddenly stopped. "Why'd you stop, keep going!" I yelled. "Wait, look" Mia demanded. It was that one movie in which my mum and Uncle Leo starred in. The one with the big ship. "What is it called again?!" I added in urgency. "TITANIC! You dweeb" Mia whined. Oh right that one. That's the first time my mum and Uncle Leo met, they were in their early 20's.

"Do you want to watch it?" Mia asked eagerly for a response. "Do you think mum would let us?" I asked. "Well.. were old enough it's PG 13" Mia responded. We both glared towards Bear who was entertained with his toys. "I think we'll be fine" I said breaking the awkwardness.

I was really curious in what I would see, my mum hesitated on showing us the film in the past, I think we were too young.

*post movie*

Mia is crying her eyes out, what a cry baby. "WHAT, UNCLE LEO-- I MEAN JACK DIES?!" Mia shouted as tears kept falling from her eyes. "Obviously, are you blind?!" I said annoyed from her weeping. "But he was able to fit in that door?!! Ugh they were so perfect for each other why couldn't they get the happy ending that they deserve?" Mia added. "If only they were together in real lif--" Mia stopped.

"Wait a minute, they are together !" Mia gathered. She quickly turned her frown into a smile. "Do you feel better?" I asked hoping for a 'yes'. "Yup, it's just a movie right?" Mia responded.

"But now I understand all the torn hearts of teenage girls" she added. I have to admit, the movie was pretty good, it's a really famous movie. I just hope my mum doesn't get mad, she absolutely hates it when we do things without permission.

"Oh look this is another movie with mum and Uncle Leo, its called 'Revolutionary Road" I suggested. "Oh, no not that one! You'd have to ask mum first" Mia interrupted.

Mia POV
Oh my gosh. I'd never let Joe watch that without mums permission. Most of the movie consists of mum and Uncle Leo's characters arguing. And I won't want that to sink into his small brain.

"What do you mean?" Joe asked. "Its dark, and depressing" I said trying to convince him not to watch it. "I guess" Joe said rolling his eyes. I exhaled in relief. Bear was fast asleep on the carpet. I decided to take him to the room he chose when we arrived. It was blue, his favorite color, and had small cars painted on the walls. I laid him down and turned off the light.

Leo POV
I didn't realize how long we've been out here. I opened my eyes to a starry sky. I looked down to Kate and saw her fiddling with my sweater. She was curled up on my chest with one of her arms around my neck. "Hello Katie" I said softly. Kate looked up at me with her deep blue eyes and smiled. "I thought you'd never wake up babe" Kate said removing her fingers from my sweater.

She sat next to me and snuggled up to me once again. "I love you Kate" I said caressing her face with my free hand. "Babe I know" Kate giggled. "I just like reminding you, in case you forget" I looked over and gave her a smile. "Leo, I would never forget. In fact you're the most important person in my life, how could I possibly forget?" Kate responded. I held her hand and led her into our room.

"Its getting late, we should get some rest" I suggested. "Yes, we should I'm really tired" Kate said as she began to remove her clothes. I couldn't help but stare at her body that got more naked as she removed her clothing. "What?" Kate asked flirtatiously. "No-nothing" I snapped out of my thoughts. She went into the closet and changed into her lingerie pajamas. They were identical to the ones from nights ago, just a different color. She was stunning.

"Babe you look, hot" I winked. Kate playfully rolled her eyes and laid next to me. "So you're just going to act like you're not wearing that?" I asked with a playful grin. Kate came closer and snuggled next to me. "What do you mean?" Kate asked as she slid her hand inside my shirt. "You know how you make me feel when you wear that" I giggled. "Oh right!" Kate responded as she crawled over me.

"These are the only type of pajamas I packed for the week" she added as she laid flat on top of me. "Is that so?" I asked as I rubbed her back. Kate yawned and it made me yawn as well. "I'm tired Leo, maybe we should go to bed" Kate said as she began to get off of me. "Where are you going?" I asked. "I'm going to lay next to you, I don't want you to feel uncomfortable" Kate said as she moved a blonde curl out of her face. "No stay, I like it this way" I responded giving her a smile. "Okay" Kate confirmed as she snuggled back onto me.

Kate POV
As I laid on Leo I could feel his heartbeat sync with mine. He was everything I wanted and needed. I grabbed my phone from the night stand and texted Mia to see if they were asleep.

Kate: Mia are you and the boys asleep yet?🤔

Mia: I just tucked in Bear, and Joe and I have made our way to the bedrooms.👍🏼

Kate: Okay, thank you. Good night sweetie!💕

Mia: Goodnight mum ❤️

I'm proud of Mia she's becoming really responsible now. I'm glad the kids get along.

Leo and I watched TV for half an hour before we became exhausted. "Leo in tired" I whined. "Me too, we should really get some sleep" Leo agreed. As he turned off the TV he removed his pants and his shirt, leaving only his boxers. I stood up and turned off the lights.

We both crawled into bed and snuggled onto each other. I felt very comfortable in Leo's arms, I buried my face in his chest. He unexpectedly put his hands on my hips. I laughed. "What's wrong?" Leo giggled. "You know that's one of my most ticklish areas!" I demanded.

Leo then pulled me closer, I had my arms around his neck. "Goodnight princess" Leo said as he rubbed his nose with mine. I giggled. I cupped his face and kissed his lips repeatedly. I could feel a smile form in his face as I kissed him. We ended up giggling after. "Goodnight babe" I finally responded. Leo ran his fingers through my hair helping me fall asleep. What did I ever do to deserve him?
