Mysterious Movie Night

*Carter pov*

"The thing is Lexy has no real friends." Coleen said

"If they didn't talk bad about each other behind each other's back they'd be ok." Rachel said

We all finally learned our way to school, & Alexs' gotten closer to Luke. I think he likes her, I tell her that but she blushes and says they're just friends. The bell rang, we all got up from the lunch table.

"I didn't finish my fries, who want's them?" Alex said

"I do! I need it for Spanish. That class is horrible, and I need food." Coleen said

"Well we have English." I said

"There's a substitute today. Mrs. Carl isn't here." Lisa said

"Ok, see you later guys." we all departed to our classes, after exchanging news.

We walked in, and there was a sub (sub means substitute). "Mrs. Tracey" was written on the board.

*Alex pov*

"Yooo Mrs. Tracey." this really tall jock named Cole said as a middle aged lady walked in.

Luke was already seated, and he winked at me. A blush crept onto my cheeks.

"Excuse me, do not say 'Yoo Mrs. Tracey.' You should say 'Good afternoon Mrs. Tracey.' she said a faint British accent could be heard.

"Your teacher has left you some partner work." she said

Chatter erupted, and Luke asked me "Hey, you want to work together?"

"Yeah, of course." I said

Luke was going to get the papers, while he was gone Carter said "He likes you."

"No he doesn't, Carter! I already told you."

"He does."

If what Carter says is true how was he so smooth when he talked, don't guys stutter and get nervous.

"Umm Alex, Alex! Helloo." I realized someone was saying my name, and it was Luke.

"Oh, sorry I was-"

"Daydreaming?" he asked

"Yeah, how did you know?"

"Rachel does the same face when she's daydreaming." he said laughing

We worked on the packet, and I learned a lot about Lexy. He seemed kind of uncomfortable saying she never left him alone. The bell rang signaling the end of the school day. It was Friday, and everyone had plans.

"You guys ready?" Rachel asked

She invited us over her house for movie night, we would sleep over. The only problem was Lexy was there. It was good for us but bad for Rachel. She couldn't be alone with her or just with her more than minute or she'd get pissed.

"So Lexy's coming at seven, right?" Carter asked

"Yeah, remember if I nudge you hold me back, or I'll be grounded for forever." she said

A black range rover was parked in the parking lot. Rachel walked over there, and her mom was in it.

"Is Luke coming?" she asked

"No." Rachel said "Why?"

"Oh, hi girls!" she said when she saw us, "It's Luke's early birthday present."

Someone opened the passenger door, the wide smile face of Luke.

"Is this it?" he asked "Is this the car?"
