Dan's POV

"me?" I asked mockingly as I walked into the room and lent against the door frame.

A twinge of guilt rushed through me as I looked at her cowering in the corner of the room. I instantly regretted my words as her confused and fearful expression turned to one of anger.

"Yes, you! What the hell is wrong with you? Where am I? Who are you?" she screamed whilst advancing towards me.

She was cute when she was angry.

"woah, woah, woah. One question at a time love" I said as I pushed off the door frame and sauntered to the middle of the room standing toe to toe with her.

She gulped at our closeness and took a step back, avoiding eye contact, her sudden burst of confidence appeared to have gone.

"who are you?" she asked almost inaudibly glancing in the direction of the door. I smirked, deciding to have some fun.

"a person" I replied smugly.

She scowled up at me with her icy blue eyes, strands of her raven black hair had fallen into her face and my hands itched to brush them behind her ears.

"where am I?" she asked glancing at the door again.

"In a room" I said nonchalantly whilst shrugging and putting my hands in my back pocket.

I was so distracted by my own sassy replies that I didn't notice her edging her way towards the door before she tried to run.

Mia's POV

I took this as an opportunity, he was so wrapped up in giving me vague answers that he didn't seem to notice that I was making my way across the wall and towards the door. I sprinted towards the door pushing him out the way. I didn't bother looking back, I just ran, I could hear the pounding of the footsteps behind me slowly catching up.

Soon enough they caught up and I was pushed to the floor, my head smacking the floor. It didn't knock me out but it made me feel light-headed. I felt his chest push into my back, he was so close to me, I could smell his cologne and his breath on my neck causing goosebumps where it hit my skin. He grabbed me by the waist and dragged me back to the bare room.

"you stay here and think about what you've just done" he spat at me.

"well you think about what you've done" I retorted back.

He scoffed and shut the door behind him, leaving me with nothing but my thoughts.

"think about what I just did? What am I, five? God what's his problem?" I thought out loud.

I paced the room angrily, There had to be another way out of this damn room.

Dan's POV

I was shaking in anger as I paced the flat. She tried to run away from me, what the hell was she thinking? Maybe it hurt so much because she looked like Phil. I gulped at the memory of him. What would he think of me? Kidnapping some girl, I thought looked like him and keeping her in the basement of the building. I sighed and continued pacing. Suddenly there was a crash. A crash that sounded an awful lot like someone trying to break down a door . It was coming from the basement.

"Shit" I groaned as I ran to stop her, again.

I sprinted down the stairs, following the sound. By the time I had reached the door, the sound had stopped and I was greeted with a shut door. I put the key in the lock and slowly opened the door being careful.

I peeked round the door and saw her laying on the mattress facing away from me. She didn't respond to the door opening or my footsteps advancing towards her. Her jet black hair now a mess fell down her back and onto the mattress.

"What was that noise?" I asked her.

"what noise?" she mumbled.

"that banging noise"

"oh ye, I was trying to break down the door to escape but it didn't work so I gave up" she replied.

The words lingered in the air as I felt a twinge of sadness. What had I done to this beautiful woman? I'd broken her but I didn't want her out of my sight, she filled part of the void in my heart. So I closed the door and slumped against it, listening to her on the other side letting out a muffled sob.

Mia's POV

I begged myself not to cry, to stay strong and not show any weakness to... this guy, he still hadn't told me his damn name, but it was all finally catching up to me. I had been kidnapped, I had no idea where I was, I was locked up in room and my shoulder freaking hurt from the damn door.

My sobs were silent at first but then I couldn't stop as I began shaking uncontrollably. I sat up gasping for breath, still facing away from him as tears poured down my face probably leaving a black trail from my mascara. I heard him talking but my mind wouldn't focus on his words as I trembled and cried. It was then that I felt two warm arms wrap around me and I was pulled against someone's chest, their fingers drawing soothing patterns on my skin. It instantly calmed me down and it shouldn't have because the person doing this, was the person that made me feel this way. I didn't want him to stop but I looked up into his chestnut eyes, just by looking at them my heart beated faster and my breaths became deeper.

"why are you keeping me here?" I asked softly. He squirmed around and moved his eyes away form me. "ok let's start with something simple. What's your name?"

His eyes moved back looking directly into mine.

"Dan"

He stood up still keeping his eyes fixed on me as he backed away towards the door.

"wait, I have more questions for you, please just answer some" I begged crawling towards the door.

"no, no more questions, see you in the morning"

He shut the door and I retuned to my mattress. I felt something between us, I wasn't sure what it was but it felt wrong. I curled up into  a ball and tried to get some sleep.
