I threw my coat and shoes on and ran out taking two steps at a time before running out into the night desperate to find her. Running up and down the streets screaming her name, I didn't care how many people I woke up I needed to find her and I needed to find her now.

I didn't care that she might tell someone I kidnapped her, what I did care about was her. She hasn't been herself recently and I want to make sure she was okay.

After what seemed like hours I saw someone run into a block of flats that looked a lot like Mia and followed her in.

"Mia!" I shouted and she turned to look at me, tears streaming down her face before she started running again.

I chased after her and found her frantically knocking on one of the doors. I ran and grabbed her wrist spinning her to face me, backing her against a wall so she couldn't run.

"Mia what the hell are you doing? Why did you leave? What's wrong?" I asked hastily and severely out of breath.

She took ragged, gasping breath as sobs wracked her body and I gently pulled her into my chest, my arms wrapping around her comfortingly.

"Please Mia. Please tell me what's going on" I said my voice shaking at seeing her like this "Please Mia, I love you. I just want to help you but I can't if you don't tell me" I continued whilst still holding her in my arms.

"ok" she said weakly and sniffled.

She was just about to finally open up when the door she had knocked on began to open. We both jumped, forgetting about the fact that Mia had been knocking on that door before I found her. I felt Mia shrink into me and I looked down at her small, fragile frame when an arrogant voice pierced my ears. A voice I never thought we would hear again.

"well, well, well look who it is"

I glanced up to see Mia's mum looking down at us with her poisonous smirk.

"Just shut the door and leave us alone" I spat holding up Mia as we came face to face with her.

"Well you knocked on my door" She jeered looking at Mia "oh are you ill sweetie?"

"Leave her alone" I snarled standing in front of Mia.

Deborah moved her head so she could see around me and gasped.

"It's something else isn't it?" She said smirking.

"What are you talking about?" I asked confused.

"Should I tell him or are you planning on telling him sometime soon?" She whispered.

"Come on Dan let's just go" Mia mumbled pulling on my shirt.

"Yeah let's go" I replied shooting Deborah one last glance before leaving.

"Don't let her get stressed Dan or lift heavy things" She called after us.

"Come on let's go home we can talk about you running away when we get back" I said guiding Mia back home.

The journey home was tense and silent. I kept a firm grip on Mia's hand scared she would run again, scared she would disappear and never come back, scared I would lose the one person I care about. Why had she gone to Deborah? How had she even found her ?

When we arrived back at our apartment I let go of Mia's hand to lock the door only to hear her try to run to the bathroom. I followed quickly after realising it wasn't because she was ill and gripped her waist, pulling her back into me.

"Oh no you don't love, we need to talk" I said as I guided her over to the sofa, her attempts at resistance were weak as I did so.

She still looked ill and utterly exhausted, she needed to rest and running around the streets hadn't done anything to help her.

"Mia what the hell is going on? Talk to me" I demanded as I placed my hand on her thigh leaning my head down in an attempt to get her to look at me. Slowly her gaze lifted to mine and I looked into her tried eyes waiting for her to talk.

"I'm pregnant"
