It All Started With A Cappuccino

Part 20

Mia's POV

Once we were outside I let out a deep breath I wasn't aware I was holding.

"You good now?" Dan asked softly from beside me.

"Yeah I think so" I replied.

He smiled softly at me and began to gently pull me towards the car.

"Dan" I said sweetly.

He hummed in response and turned to look at me wondering why I wasn't following.

"Do we have to go back now?"

He stared at me confused by the question.

"I mean its just I haven't been outside in awhile and I just..."

I stared up at the sky and took a deep breath before looking back at Dan.

"Please?"

He looked back at me and smiled.

"Okay but I know a much better place and it's only a short drive" He said gesturing towards the car.

He was right, it was a short drive we got out the car and I breathed deeply.

"So what do you think?" He asked

I glanced around, it was beautiful, it was a small park with array of different flowers and trees with benches scattered everywhere.

"It's beautiful" I replied .

I looked over to Dan who was looking at me smiling before he placed his hand in mine and began guiding me down a path.

"This is nice" he whispered

"Yea it is" I replied nuzzling into his arm "I don't want it to end"

I let out a sigh and sat on a bench.

"everything comes to an end Mia" He said bleakly.

"Thanks Mr Existential" I laughed as I put my head on his shoulder "how long before we have to go?"

"As long as we're home before dark, I don't care" He mumbled stroking my arm "hey Mia?"

"Yea?"

He lifted my head off his shoulder and turned me so I was facing him "I'm sorry Mia for taking you away from your life"

I placed my hand in his and smiled.

"Dan, I didn't really have a life, you made it more interesting so don't worry about it" I replied.

He sighed and kissed me on the forehead.

"We should probably get going" He whispered.

"Yeah" I sighed taking one last look at the beautiful sight around me as I stood up.

"We should come here again" Dan said also standing up.

"Yeah" I smiled "I'd like that"

"Me too" He replied as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders protectively and I wrapped mine around his waist as we walked back to the car.

The drive went quickly as we were soon back in the apartment, I walked over to the window and saw the busy life of London, it was nothing like that park but still nice.

"Well that was fun love" Dan said breaking my gaze from the window and round to him as he leant against the door frame.

"Yea it was" I smiled and walked over to him "thanks" I leant up and kissed his cheek.

"well we've had a long day maybe we should get some sleep" he suggested letting out a small yawn.

"Yea we should" I replied sleepily.

We both began to walk to Dan's bedroom but he gripped me around my waist and pulled me back.

"So you're okay with us sharing a bed cos if you're not I'll sleep on the couch"

"It's fine honestly, I just want sleep" I said laughing.

We climbed into bed as I felt Dan's arm slowly snake around my waist and pulled me closer his breath brushing the back of my neck.

"Night Mia" He whispered.

"Night Dan" I whispered back, pausing for a few seconds "I love you"
