Eiko's POV

"You see, I haven't been completely honest with you." I said. "What do you mean?" Mahiru asked. "Well... I think Sleepy Ash can tell you. Or is it 'Kuro' now?" I said before looking at Kuro as he stood by the door.

"Kuro, what is she talking about?" Mahiru asked. "Go ahead and tell him, Uncle Ash." I said. "Uncle?!" Mahiru repeated before looking at me. "I had a feeling you'd freak out like that. That's a problem." She said, emotionlessly. Kuro sighed.

"How troublesome." He mumbled. "Mahiru, this is my niece, Eiko of Wrath." He introduced.

"Say what?!" Mahiru shouted. "You yell a lot. That's a problem." I mentioned. "Let me explain. A long time ago, my sister, The Mother of Wrath, had a baby. That baby was Eiko. By the way, where is she, anyway?" Kuro asked me.

"I don't know. I haven't seen her in twelve years." I replied. "Wait a second! I thought that guy who was with you last night was your brother?!" Mahiru said. "You mean Mikuni? He's not my blood brother. He adopted me off the streets when I was four years old."

"It's cold..." I whispered. I sat against an alley wall as it rained. I hugged myself as my body shivered before sneezing. "Hey, there, little girl? What are you doing out here all by yourself?" I lifted my head as a tall boy stood over me with an umbrella over his head.

"Where's your mommy, little one?" He asked as he squatted down. "I... I don't know where she is. I'm all alone." I said before looking down at the ground. "Aw, I'm sorry, honey." He apologized. I pulled my knees to my chest as I began to cry.

"Hey, come on now, little girl. Don't cry." The man said as he gently petted my head. I looked at him and sniffled. "Tell you what. I'll let you stay with me until we can find your mom." The man said. "Really?" I asked. "Sure," He wiped a tear away with his thumb as he smiled at me.

"What's your name, little girl? My name's Mikuni." He said. "Mi... Mi..." I tried sounding out his name, but it was too hard. He chuckled at my struggling before picking me up in his arms.

"You're just so adorable. Come on, let's get you out of this rain. You could catch a cold out here." Mikuni said as he took me to his house.

When we got to his house, he sat me on a bed and dried my hair with a towel. "Man, you're soaking wet. The rain really did a number on you." Mikuni said as he dried me off. I looked at one of the shelves, noticing some dolls. Mikuni noticed and looked at the dolls, too.

"Ah, I see. You're into dolls. Here, have one." He said. He reached up and grabbed a doll, handing it to me. "She's so pretty." I commented as I combed her hair with my fingers. "Ain't she? Oh, I never got your name." Mikuni mentioned.

"My name's Eiko. I don't have a last name." I said. As the days went by, we never did find my mommy. So, from now on, I stayed with Mikuni as his little sister.

"After Mikuni took me in, I didn't care about looking for my mother anymore. She abandoned me, so I forgot about her," I got off the couch and walked over to the window.

"But I still keep wondering why she left me in the first place. Why didn't she want me? Why did she give me up? Was a burden to her? So many questions roll through my mind, wondering why Mother left me in that alley. But now... I don't care anymore. All I really want now, is to get revenge on her. When I find her, I will get the answers I need." I said.

"And then?" Kuro asked. I glanced back at him with an emotionless gaze. "Then, I'm gonna kill her for abandoning me." I said.

"What?! You're just gonna kill your own mom?!" Mahiru said. "Uh-huh. I mean, why shouldn't I? She left me to defend for myself. It was so scary on those streets. Hearing people yell, having to listen to the noise of cars. Everything around me was so scary." I said, recalling the day.

"But wait... If you're the daughter of a Servamp, wouldn't that make you a servamp, too?" Mahiru asked. "To be honest, I'm not really sure. I always thought Mother would explain it to me. But I guess I'm out of luck since I can't find her." I said.

"Then, who's your Dad?" Mahiru asked. "Nobody really knows who the father was. To be honest, I don't think Eiko had a father to begin with." Uncle Ash said. I opened the window and climbed on top of the balcony. "Wait, what are you doing?!" Mahiru called.

"Well, it looks like I've told you everything I needed to tell you. Bye-bye, Mahiru. Bye-bye, Uncle Ash. It was nice catching up with you." I said before falling off the balcony. But of course, I didn't die. I simply flew away.

"Do you think it was wise for you tell the boy everything?" The Black Rabbit said as he sat on my back while I flew. Like Uncle Ash, I have an inner self, too. His is the Black Cat and mine is the Black Rabbit.

He used to talk to me all the time when I was in my room, admiring my dolls. Although, it makes me wonder why he decides to appear himself now. It also makes me wonder why my inner self is a boy and not a girl.

"Yes, I think so. Mahiru's my friend. I think he had every right to know the truth." I said. She sighed. "You're too honest. That's a problem." He said. "Maybe." I agreed.
