"Ponyboy! Wait! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" yells Darry.

"What just happened?!" I ask. Sodapop sighs. "WHAT HAPPENED?!"

"Calm down Belle. Everything is going to be ok." says Sodapop.

"That is not comforting! Tell me what happened!" I am starting to cry. "Why did he storm out?" I am bailing now. "Is he coming back?"

"One question at a time Belle." Darry says.

"How am I supposed to ask one question at a time when my twin brother just stormed out of the house, not knowing if he is coming home?!"

"Belle," Soda reaches for my arm.

"Don't touch me until you tell me what happened!"

"Fine," Soda says. "Darry got mad at Ponyboy for coming home so late and so they started to yell at each other and that is when I woke up."

Darry finishes the story, "Soda realized that Pony was finally home and started talking to him. Then Soda started taking up for Pony and I told him to stop sticking up for him. Pony yelled at me for yelling at Soda..."

Soda interrupted him and said, "I can't believe you slept through all of this." I scowl at him.

"Keep going with the story" I say.

Darry continues, "Then I slapped him."

"You what?!?!" I ask. More like yell.

"You heard him. He hit him." said Soda.

"Thanks for repeating that Soda." Darry says.

Soda replies, "No problem."

"This is not a time for jokes guys. We have no clue where Ponyboy is! He could be anywhere by now! I'm going after him." I say.

"No you're not!" Darry and Soda say at the same time.

"Yes I am." I say and I start for the door, but Soda and Darry grab me. "Let me go! I gotta find him! LET ME GO!" I pull and bite and do anything I can to make them let go of me, but their grip only gets tighter. They pull me into my room and lock me in my room (my parents put the locks on the outside of the doors for punishments. We have kept it like that ever since). I start to cry. Will I ever find Pony? Will I still have three brothers? Please Lord, make Pony come home. Please!
