Chapter 4
I wake up with a tear stained face. I walk out of my room not bothering to clean my face. I see that the T.V. is on so I sit down and start to watch it. It was the news with my least favorite news caster. The guy has a very annoying voice and his face is really weird. But the news story he was doing was a story you wouldn't believe.
"This just in," uggg! How I hate this guy, "two boys run away after stabbing another boy." These stories are always on. I start to tune it out, but then I heard their names, "...Ponyboy Curtis and Johnny Cade."
"WAIT! WHAT?!?!" I didn't mean to say it out loud, but I did.
"What is it Belle?" Soda asked me.
"Ponyboy," I whisper.
"What did she say?" asked Darry.
Soda replies, "I couldn't hear her."
"I said Ponyboy. Ponyboy and Johnny killed someone. Probably a Socs."
Soda and Darry look at each other and say at the same time, "WHAT?!"
"I am leaving. I am gonna find them and you better not try to stop me."
"Not again." Soda says and tries to get my attention while I walk towards the door. "Belle come here." I keep walking.
Darry starts to yell, "ANNABELLE KATE CURTIS COME BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!" I open the door and run. They called my name over and over again, but I keep ignoring it.
I run to where I know Ponyboy and Johnny would go for advice.
