You hopped out of the car with your grocery shopping list on hand. Even though you only had to shop for yourself, you always dreaded heading to the store when you ran out of food.

Your list was relatively short, as you weren't exactly the most skilled chef in the kitchen, but you made up for your lack of culinary pizzaz with you knowledge of sweets and snacks.

After grabbing everything you needed to make a steady week of easy dinners: spaghetti, mac and cheese, chicken and rice, and a couple of frozen meals, you headed to the snacks aisle for the best part of your trip.

You practically raked bags of your favourite chips and drinks into the cart, making up for the majority of what you'll eat for the next couple days.

It wasn't that you didn't want to eat, but it was just that in your line of work -hunting- you didn't really have time to be cooking up five star cuisine.

So you relied on snacks to tide you over on long trips and sleepless nights. You loved almost any kind of snack and sweet, but one sweet treat in particular held a special place in your heart.

Apple pie

You don't know why you loved apple pie as much as you did, but if there were any solid piece of good left in this dark and broken hell we call a world, that would be it.

That's why when you found the bakery section of the store and saw the last apple pie left, you practically ran towards it.

Your movie moment was cut off by a rough hand grabbing the pie at the exact same time. "Hey!" you the gravelly voice of a man call out.

You looked up to see a blondish man with apple green eyes looking at you, annoyed. He was darn tootin beautiful, but there was no way you were going to let him take your pie from you.

"Excuse me sir," you looked him in the eyes "But I think I got this pie first."

"I don't think so sweetheart," he replied, still gripping the box "I'm pretty sure I was over here first."

His glare softened when he looked at your pleading expression, and his frown turned into a smirk.

"How about you get the apple pie, and in return for my generous sacrifice I get a date with you?"

You scoffed "Are you hitting on me? I don't even know your name!" You told him sternly

"It's Dean" he replied, smiling at you suggestively. It was sort of creeping you out.

"I think I'll just take the pie, Dean." You smiled before ripping the pie from his grasp and running towards the checkout with your cart.

"Really?!" He yelled as you exited

- About a week later -

You were closing in on the group of werewolves you were looking for, and you'd pinpointed their exact location. This was always your favourite part of a hunt, when you got to finish off the suckers.

You got there and proceeded with caution and plenty of silver bullets, loading your gun as you hopped out of your car.

After kicking down the door, you put a hole in a couple of their heads. This was such light work...or so you thought.

After all the weaklings were dead, the alpha and his right hand man approached you from behind, grabbing your neck. "End of the line, girl."

You squirmed under his grasp until you gave up and prepared yourself for your last moments as a human. You figured he was probably going to turn you.

That's exactly what he was going to do. He pulled down the collar of your jacket and prepared to bite. You squeezed your eyes shut, and kept them that way until you heard two gunshots and the force on you was gone.

You opened hesitantly to see the two werewolves lying on the ground, bullets in their head. You looked at the source of the bang, and saw a pair of familiar green eyes.

"Dean?" You asked

"Pie girl?" He responded with confusion

"You're a hunter?" He nodded. You scoffed "Same, small world."

There was a taller man behind him, looking more confused than the both of you. "You two know each other?" He asked

"Well, kind of," Dean replied, not breaking eye contact with you

After you all cleared out of the house and prepared to head your separate ways, you stopped Dean. "Hey, thanks for saving my life back there."

"All in a days work" he replied with a smile

"Yeah, well...maybe I'll rethink the whole date ordeal. After all, I do owe you my life, and a pie."

He smirked "Are you hitting on me? I don't even know your name!" He mocked what you said that day at the store.

You laughed "Shut up. And it's Y/N, if you must know." You told him as you took out a piece of paper and wrote down your number, giving it to him

"Well, Y/N," he started "I look forward to seeing you soon." He winked before getting into his car with the other man and heading off.
