You and Cas had been best friends for a while now. Hell. Almost your whole life! He was your 'imaginary friend' as a child, and you guys are thick as thieves even to this day, 11 years later.

You hadn't seen Castiel in months, you feared he was dead every time this happened.It was your best-friend-anniversary today and you were worried that you wouldn't get to see him.

Every morning Dean and Sam would drop you off at school on the way to the local diner, because you know how much Dean loves his pie.

This morning was no different, you would get dressed, Dean would tell you to hurry up, Sam would say you look nice, and you would go to the one place that was actually worse than hell itself.

You ate the breakfast Sam had generously packed you. Microwave oatmeal with a peach. You laughed because you remember how much peaches used to confuse Cas for some reason.

One of your few friends came up to you. "Hey Y/N, how's it going?" They said kindly.

"Meh" you responded, never looking up from the peach.

"Ugh! Are still obsessing over Cesriel or whatever his name is?! Get over it Y/N!"

Tears started to well up in your eyes, "It's Castiel," you mumbled, your statement was inaudible over the loud voices in the cafeteria.

"What?!" Your friend said in a snappy tone

"It's Castiel!" You practically yelled at her, storming off to the bathroom, leaving your breakfast behind.

Once you knew you were safe in a stall in the bathrooms, you started to ball your eyes out. Where is he? Was he ignoring you? Did he not want to see you anymore? You skipped first period to stay in there, trying to make up excuses for him.

The bell for second period rang and you decided to give up hope, he was never going to come, he probably forgot about you.

You made your way through all your periods until lunch time, where you reluctantly sat down with your group of friends, who were talking about the 'cute' boy across from them. " What do you think about him Y/N?" One of your friends asked you, interrupting your train of thought.

But before you could speak, the stupid friend from earlier had cut in. "All she cares about is Castiel!" They said in a teasing tone.

"Is he even real?" You heard another one say.

All the attention in the group was turned on you, and you could feel them judging you.

You heard the familiar flap of wings, but thought you were hearing things.

Suddenly, their eyes averted from each other to behind you, pointing and staring with their eyes wide.

You looked back and the biggest grin in the world spread across your face, it was your one and only, it was Cas.

Your pounced on him and gave him a very long bear hug. When you finally let go, he was holding something in his hands, it was your peach from earlier.

"You forgot this," he said in his deep, husky voice, which made your friends almost melt into their food trays. "Happy anniversary" he said awkwardly.

You started to cry again "You scared me to death! I thought you were dead!"

"Heaven is just on the verge of a civil war, that's all," He wiped away your tears "Don't cry Y/N, I'm here now"

One of you friends cleared her throat "So this...this is Castiel?"

"Yeah!" You said as if you were proud of him

"Wow" another one of your friends added in

"Come and sit Cas," you say, motioning him to sit down.

"So Castiel, how long have you two known each other?" Your friend asks, staring at him

"A very long time," he says the same proud way you did.

You have such an amazing relationship, you would love for it to turn into a more-than-friends relationship, but you didn't know if Cas felt the same way.

"Are you seeing anyone?" You friend asks obnoxiously

You shoot her a disapproving glare and she ignores it and keeps smiling at Cas.

"Yes actually," Cas replies nonchalantly.

You give Cas a confused look.

Cas pointed at you.

You smiled brightly

"Really?!" Your friend said, acting genuinely surprised.

"Yep, she's mine," Cas said, standing up and wrapping his arms around your waist, resting his chin on your head. "And I love her."

You blush "I love you too Cas"

"I have to go," he says begrudgingly before pecking your lips "I'll see you later,"

"Bye!" You waved to him before he disappeared, you sighed with happiness, your dream had come true.

And let's just say your friends never messed with you again.
