You'd never understood why Father decided to place such a huge responsibility on the youngest angel when he assigned you as the prophet Kevin Tran's guardian angel, but you couldn't argue with him. Maybe it was because you were pretty well known for being a protector and a warrior.

You can still remember the first time he saw you, he was freaked out and thrilled at the same time. Ever since then you'd visited him often, helping if he needed it but also just hanging around him. You two got acquainted fast as you soon became each other's best friends.

You watched Kevin navigate life as a prophet, and you felt slightly bad for him. He got ripped from his life as a valedictorian and.....first Asian American president of the United States?? And got placed in a position he didn't even ask for. He was holed up in that bunker with the Winchesters, translating tablets all day. You got quite fond of watching Kevin when you weren't with him, and since you didn't have to sleep, you could always keep an eye on him. Some things he did would confuse you, but that was the case with every human. Although you didn't completely understand the feelings you had for him, you knew you felt something for Kevin that you didn't feel for any other of Father's creations.

There was one day when you were watching him, and something didn't feel right. He was walking outside to pick up food from a Chinese place in town, walking down an alley to take a shortcut. Suddenly, two men appeared out of nowhere and started beating him up. Knowing you weren't supposed to interfere unless you absolutely needed to, you tried to restrain from going to help him. When you see the pitch black eyes of the attackers, and you knew you had to go.

With the snap of a finger and flap of wings, you were standing in between Kevin and the demons. They immediately recognized you. "Y/N? Come to protect your precious prophet?" One of them seethed through her teeth. Without a word, a warm light shone from your body and a shadow of your robust wings appeared behind your back, projecting onto the wall behind you. The light was enough to blind them before you stabbed them both with a demon blade.

You turned to Kevin, who was awestruck, and started to speak "Hello Kevin" he marveled at the sight of you, this is the first time he'd seen anything close to your wings. "Holy shit." He whispered. You tilted your head in confusion "Well, I don't see how human excretions could be holy, but-" you were cut off when a cold blade slid through your lower abdomen. The last thing you remembered was Kevin yelling your name, and the faint flapping of wings.

You opened your eyes quickly, jolting up as you remembered what happened. You looked around what you recognized as the Winchester's bunker and kept looking until you saw someone in front of the door. "Sister" a gravelly voice called out, you turned to see a familiar face. "Castiel," you replied "What am I doing here? Where is Kevin?" You asked straight away. Almost as if he could hear you, Kevin burst into the bedroom, sighing with relief when he saw that you were okay. "Y/N, I'm so glad you're okay." You replayed the vents in your head, and remembered that you'd gotten stabbed in the alley "Luckily, Castiel was able  to heal you in time. You're completely fine." He reassured you, almost as if he knew the next question that would come out of your mouth. Before another word could leave your mouth, Kevin hugged you tight. You stiffened up, but hesitantly eases into the hug. "I love you, Y/N. I don't know what I'd do without my guardian angel."

"I-I love you too, Kevin." You talked into his back, smiling. He eased out of the hug, his eyes teary. You smiled at him reassuringly this time "I'm glad" he told you, blushing before he leaned in and place a kiss on your forehead. You looked up at him as he lingered. His eyes darted down to your lips before he pecked them with his own, leading into a soft, quick kiss.

"Get some rest." He said before he and Cas left the room.
