17•Celebration|Keith

Keith walked in the backyard with his girlfriend, Gina, attached to his arm and a big blue gift bag in his hand. His sister, Kaylan, had just graduated from high school top of her class as valedictorian, so they were throwing her a graduation party. Kaylan hadn't seen Keith in months because of his modeling and acting gigs. Keith couldn't wait to see her reaction to seeing him.

"Keith! How's my baby?" His mother greeted engulfing Keith into a big, welcoming hug as she kissed all over his face. Keith chuckled as he hugged back moving his face away his mom's. While the two expressed how much they missed each other Gina cleared her throat to catch their attention.

"Oh yeah, welcome back Gina." Jennifer greeted with a small smile. "Hello Mrs.Powers." Gina cheese walking up to her with open arms. "Look at that, Aunt Gertie is messing with something." Jen said turning on her heels walking away from Gina and Keith. Gina silently scoffed and looked up at Keith to see him with his hands up in defense. "What?"

On the opposite side of the backyard Y/N sat beside Kaylan and Kevin, chatting about what Kaylan was going to do now that she's free from high school. Y/N was a family friend who had been around since she and Keith were wee little babies. Her mother and and Jennifer was very close friends since pre school and grew up together causing Keith and Y/N to do the same.

"Well maybe I'll attend Harvard or Oxford, they both sent me acceptance letters along with other schools." Kaylan suggested as she shrugged her shoulders. "Well just make sure to major in something you can enjoy while doing it. You don't want to work on the wrong thing and end up boring yourself till the end of your days." Y/N said as she leaned over and grabbed a cold drink from the cooler.

Kaylan nodded her head and looked around. Once her eyes laid on Keith and Gina walking over to them she hopped up and ran over to them, Keith more specifically. "Big bro!" She exclaimed as Keith picked her up and spun her around in an tight embrace. After Keith stood her back on the ground he leaned down and kissed Kaylan's forehead. "Surprise." Keith cheesed, handing her the gift bag he came in with.

Kaylan reached her in hand in the bag and pulled out a pretty diamond necklace with a 'K' pendant in the middle. She gasped and looked back in the bag to see lots of makeup from MAC. "Thank you, Keith." "Well, Gina helped out with the makeup part but you're welcome." Kaylan looked at Gina and gave her a fake smile. "Thanks Gina." She said dryly before paying her attention back to Keith and sparking up a conversation.

Y/N raised an eyebrow and leaned over towards Kevin. "Why don't we like Gina again?" She questioned. Kevin chuckled and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Because we know she's with Keith for his money. Look at her." Kevin answered gesturing over at Gina with his eyes. Y/N peaked over to see Gina picking at her nails. Y/N still didn't understand, but left it alone. "I totally see it now." She whispered.

Kaylan and Keith had finished talking so Kaylan walked away to put her gifts away. Keith turned his attention over towards Y/N and Kevin and smiled. Kevin stood up and dapped Keith up, giving him a brotherly hug. The two exchanged their words and caught up before Kevin exited into the crowd. "I guess it's my turn." Y/N joked as she stood up. Keith opened his arms wide and wrapped them around Y/N, hugging her while they swayed from side to side.

"So, how you been living?" Keith questioned. "Oh you know, same ole' same ole'. Nothing compared to you, Mr. DeVoe." Y/N joked as she pinched his cheek. Gina unexpectedly used her arm to cut in between the two and stood in front of Keith, giving Y/N a fake smile. "Why hello to you too, Gina." Y/N sarcastically greeted. "C'mon Keith, we have to speak to your other family members." Gina spoke through her teeth as she grabbed Keith and dragged him away. "Nice to see you again, Y/N." Keith called out. "Likewise." Y/N mumbled.

Y/N didn't see the 'for his money' bit, but she did see that Gina is a jealous bitch.
