Y/N walked in through the one of back doors of the bar, entering in to the backstage. She turned around from closing the door and saw her older friend, Erin, waiting on her already. "C'mon Y/N, you only have about 15 minutes until you're up." Erin reminded as she grabbed Y/N by her wrist and lead her over to the vanity mirror. Once Y/N sat down Erin grabbed her makeup bag and instantly went to work. "I'm sorry, Erin. It's just that I got caught up with Angelo and he-" Y/N rambled about her brother . Erin cut her off with a single shush and gave her a small smile.
"Y/N, it's fine. At least you're here." Erin soothed as she finished with Y/N's makeup. As she rose from her seat Y/N walked over to the full body length mirror to fully take in how she looked.
"Perfect." She muttered to herself as she ran her hands all over her body. Getting caught up in admiring herself Y/N didn't hear them announce for her to perform. Erin walked up behind her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "It's time, kiddo. The crowd seems larger tonight, don't let that intimidate you." She reminded. Y/N nodded as walked towards the curtains. As she peeped her head out slightly she saw all the people out there, waiting for her. Y/N took a deep breath before grinning as she walked off.
---Algee straightened his attire as he entered into the bar. His friends had been telling all about this amazing singer named Y/N who he just had to come out and listen to. Algee was skeptical about this idea at first because his friends usually have bad taste in entertainment, but he did some searching and heard a few of her performances. It was only right to come and see this art in person.
As Algee looked around the establishment to find his friends he noticed that there were many people who had shown up. He took a mental note of that and shoved through the crowd until he spotted his friends and sat along with them in the booth that was close but not too close to the stage.
"Algee, you made it." His friend Keith's wife, Veronica, cheesed as she waved at him. "I had to, this young lady you all spoke so highly of seemed interesting and worth checking out." Algee explained. Luke and Keith looked at Algee then each other before laughing. Algee raised an eyebrow as his face showed confusion. "What you aren't about to do is speak as if you're T.I, cause it ain't working, Gee." Luke pointed out. Algee smacked his lips and waved him off. "Shut up, you wanna be 'Sex God' ." Algee spat as he used air quotes around the phrase Luke referred to himself as. Luke parted his lips to fire back at him but his girlfriend, Karen, leaned up and whispered something that made him hush and plaster a grin across his face.
'Now approaching the stage: Y/N Ace!'
Everyone in the bar cheered loudly as they saw Y/N strut from backstage to the mic in the center of the stage. Algee felt his mouth fall a gape as he watched her every step. 'She looks even better in person' He thought to himself. That didn't matter to him at the moment though.
