I'm not really sure how it happened, but Ash has just casually been living with me for the past week. It's becoming increasingly harder to ignore my feelings. I'll catch myself staring at her as she comes out of the shower or when she's sleeping. She looks so beautiful. All the time. Even when she's tired, she has this glow about her. I can't believe I was able to ignore how gorgeous she is up until now.

"Again," Ash groans, making me jump in surprise. I nearly drop the coffee tin that I was holding, but I narrowly avoid spilling everything.

"Grant?"

"Yeah," she says. Grant has been calling Ash non-stop, and although I've told her she should block him, she just hasn't been able to. I can tell that she still has feelings for him. It's hard to see her hurting, but at least I'm here for her.

"It's been a week, Ash. Isn't it about time to block him?" I say, and she looks to me. I pour some more hot water into the coffee filter, and Ash lets out a sigh.

"I don't know..."

"Come one, Ash. You can do this," I tell her, finishing up with the coffee and taking the two mugs to the table.

"Thanks," she says as she takes the mug from me. She looks to her phone once more, and it's ringing again.

"I'm here for you. You don't need him," I assure her, and she chews on her lip nervously.

It feels like an eternity passes before she answers, "Yeah. You're right."

As soon as her phone stops ringing, she goes into her contacts, blocking his number. She looks to me and smiles.

"I did it."

"I'm so proud of you," I tell her, and her cheeks redden slightly.

"God, I love you so much," she says, making my heart skip a beat.

I know she doesn't mean it in the way that I wish she does, but at least she's still my friend.

"I love you, too," I reply, and she suddenly pulls me into a hug. My breath hitches, and her sweet scent floods my nose. Her blue hair tickles the skin of my face, and I smile slightly.

"You're an amazing friend," she whispers. "I can't believe I ever chose Grant over you. I'm so sorry."

I replay her words in my mind. She just means as a friend. Yeah.

"It's okay," I finally reply, and she pulls away to look at my face.

"You're amazing," she says again, making my cheeks flush slightly. "Life this past week has been so different. Sure, I'm sad, but I just feel so...free." She looks down, leaving her hands on my shoulders. "This is all thanks to you."

I don't know what to say, so I don't say anything. She looks up again, meeting my eyes.

"I love you," she says again, and I bite my lip.

"I love you, too," I tell her, my heart clenching slightly.

I don't even comprehend what's happening. Suddenly, her lips are on mine. I don't even think. I just react. My hands move to her hair, pulling her closer, and her hands grab at the bottom of my shirt.

In the back of my mind, I know she's hurting, and that's why she's doing this. And at the same time, I don't really care.
