Searing flames shot out fiercely and the extreme heat was back. The unbearable ignorant heat that May just couldn't bear. It returned with an ever so intense flare that evidently couldn't be ignored.

'No...no....Daisy....please...' pleaded May in a distinctly muted voice.

In prompt manner, the flames suddenly hushed in feverish haste and the burning pain vanished alongside with it. How odd it was to witness a skill that only lasted mere seconds. May definitely wasn't complaining about it though. It just seemed too far of a stretch for daisy's character to act in such poor manner.

May then saw something incredibly bizarre. She caught a quick glimpse of her face while she was retreating towards her teammates. Her ever so inhumanely bitter face that was clouded with a haze of despair. This evidently ticked May off, predictably with great force. It was as if Daisy's vibrant persona was assertively glitched aside into the 'real world' and compelled in a sadistic way.

'...'

In coincidental manner, May's vivid eyes suddenly encountered Spike's as she lifted her gaze from Daisy. It astonished her to a great extent that her eyes could have crashed into his at the exact moment. Those icy cold brown eyes that viciously whispered great power.

'Anything for you...'

Her spine rattled violently and she shook subtly. Then she smiled. A wide authentic smile that warmed her shivering body. A smile that spoke 3 words. Three ever so generous words.

However, May herself still didn't realize Daisy's 'weakness' that caused all this commotion in her head.

While May was mindlessly lost in her thoughts, all her and her teammates started losing hp due to the aftermath of Daisy casting a spell. The health bar followed a continuous draining rhythm where a pattern could evidently been seen.  It then spontaneously came to a forceful stop after what seemed to be mere seconds.

Although not much damage was clearly delivered, a devilish looking flat empty circle crowned with what seemed to be blood red thorns encircled May. She endured two minor affects: Loss of sharp thoughts and mainly feeling dull. May brushed it aside, considering the symptoms were just from the lack of sleep she got.

'I guess both ways they're new... for Daisy...' pondered May.

Then May stole another quick glance at the red circle again. It had strange incantations inscribed at the hem of the circle and glowed tenuously every now and then. She obviously couldn't understand or read what was inscribed but she knew that it wasn't going to be a pleasant spell that would've been hexed on her.

"Don't worry, its only a debuff May."

"Alice!"exclaimed May softly.

"I saw what happened to you...  Are you okay?"whispered Alice as she approached May.

"Yeah I feel... fine... I guess..." mumbled May in slight confusion. She then suddenly got powerful flashbacks of 'the memory' and shivered at the thought of it. May fought the assaulting thoughts with great determination and looked directly at Alice.

"Yeah, i'm fine Alice. It was... It was nothing!"said May in a merry tone. Alice smiled warmly as she gazed at May. She indeed did look fairly fine but Alice knew as a dear friend, that something hit deeper then it should of inside May. May then spontaneously changed the subject in quick matter, as if she felt the need to.

"Hey, you said that these were... debuffs?" she mentioned as she pointed towards the red circles.

"Yeah...? What about them?"

"Its a stupid question but do you know what they do?" questioned May out of pure curiosity.

"Of course I do. Well, each debuff does vary from a variety of categories but this one specifically targets critical rates and lowers them by a set percent." replied Alice in a serious tone.

"Wait...How on earth do you know this, Alice?"

"Two things:" she said as she held up two fingers. "One, I have versed Daisy on the battlefield before."

'....Totally forgot this was term two for this school...'

"And two, I can read the incantation in its purest form." finished Alice powerfully as she lowered her fingers dramatically.

'Wow... that hit me harder then it should of... ....wait.... doesn't that also mean she can....'       "Can you perhaps remove the debuff Alice?" asked May in a desperate tone.

"Yeah, but-" but before Alice could finish her sentence she got cut off quickly.

"Alice, you gotta get rid of this nasty as thing for me! I'm so sick and tired of-" but before May could continue on with her request, she got cut off as well.

"Girls at the back of Team 1, what are you doing in the middle of my class?"

"We were just-"started Alice but before she could protest she got cut off a second, excruciating time.

"Alice, pay attention while your in battle... and as for you May, you've got a detention after school." scolded the teacher in a harsh voice.

"Sir, I was-" May suddenly then stopped after she caught the look of the teacher's ever so daring face. Her senses bluntly went numb for a few generous seconds before she continued on with her statement.  "I-I was just-"

"Oh, and I was just following the school rules as a decent teacher." snared the teacher coldly.

"B-b-but-" stammered May as she sluggishly processed the unbelievable words.

"Shut it May! I don't want to hear another word from you!" shouted the teacher in a clear yet demanding voice.

"..."

"...Now that the obtuse-minded child has learnt her rightful position, should we continue now?"

"WAIT!!"

"?!"
