Harry's POV
With everything going on between Aly and the whole rape situation, I've barely hung out with Harper. She's been around Aly the past few days trying to get her to talk but Alyson won't utter more than a word per day. I admire Harper for trying, but I think Aly just wants some time alone.
I pulled on my winter jacket and some boots. I think stuffed my phone in my pocket and once I was about to reach the garage door, I heard Harper call after me.
"Hey," she huffed when she finally approached me. "Where are you going?"
"I'm gonna go shovel the snow." I told her.
"Need any help?" she offered.
"No, that's alright. I can't have a pretty girl like you breaking your back."
She didn't seem to take my advice because she ran upstairs and told me to get started while she got her jacket and shoes. I just rolled my eyes with a smile and went into the garage to grab two shovels.
"There's nothing left, I used to cry. My conversation has run dry." I sang quietly to myself as I shoveled through the long driveway. "That's what's going on. Nothing's fine I'm torn."
"I'm all out of faith. This is how I feel. I'm cold and I am shamed." I continued singing. "Lying naked on the--"
"On the what?" I heard someone ask from behind me. I swiveled around and faced my beautiful girlfriend Harper who was laughing her ass off.
"On the driveway, duh." I joked, making her laugh harder.
"It's a bit cold to be naked outside, don't you think?" she smirked, taking a shovel and began plowing along side me.
"It's never too cold to be naked." I smiled.
"I can't agree with you on that one." Harper said while scraping the snow across the driveway.
"Are you saying you can't take the cold? Harper, when I first met you at the concert, we were outside in the playing football while you were wearing only shorts and a tank top." I reminded her.
"Yeah, I was scared I was going to catch hypothermia or something like that the entire time. I felt like I was sinking on the Titanic!" she exclaimed. "Your jacket helped but I was still freezing."
"Hey, Louis offered you his pants so don't complain. It's your fault for not taking them." I said and next thing I know, a snow ball is chucked at my head.
I could already feel my cheek going numb from the cold impact and I glared at Harper. "So, what was my fault?" she asked with a snow ball ready to fire at me in her hand.
"I'm not afraid of a snow ball, Harper." I laughed.
She picked up her shovel and got ready to bat. "How about a shovel?"
My eyes widened and I started running down the half-shoveled driveway with Harper chasing after me. I heard her scream and I turned around to face her. She had slipped on ice and was now lying in the ground.
"Are you okay?!?" I couldn't help but laugh as I asked.
"It's not funny!" she cried but I could tell she was trying her hardest to hold in her laugh.
"Here, lemme help you--" I yelped and fell to the ground too. "Damn ice!"
"Tell me about it." she nodded in agreement.
"I don't think we'll be getting up any time soon." I told her and she turned her head to look at me.
"We could crawl to the yard and make snow angels?" she suggested.
